Maybe there's a reason for a woman to be suspicious? Just a guess.

But I've seen that go both ways, so not so much a double standard as it is an issue of trust.

My guy could go out with his buddies, but it would be for a big meal, a few drinks and then they'd get home so they could fall asleep in their recliners before it got too late. That's one I would never have to worry about. He's lovable and predictable.

Yes you are quite right, ultimately it is an issue of individual trust. I can only speak of what my married friends have told me when we've been on a night out. I'm not aware of any of them being unfaithful, but it appears some of the wives just don't like guys mingling together even though they're happy to have a girls night out.

Just to follow on from my previous post, this is the sort of night out we'd have and enjoy. I didn't want you getting the wrong impression and thinking we were out all night long or anything.

Naw, it's all good. I got the husband using the final hours of the excavator to dig out a nasty stump before it goes back tomorrow. Keep 'em busy, I always say.

Actually, it was his idea. Boys and their toys. LOL

wish i could borrow it. i need to take out a couple stumps.

the last few i dug around with a shovel, tied a strap to them, then pulled them out with my truck. but if i could use an excavator....i'd much prefer that, lol.

The rental place dropped it off yesterday morning because our thinking was we'd pay a day and get two days out of it. They've got a timer on the thing. When they finished digging up the septic line and covered it, we had an hour left so he's using it to get out a huge stump that was too close to the house for our comfort. It was still doing some growing.

I honestly didn't know these things had timers. We still have to replace the gas we used.

if i ever get enough money, i'm gonna help the local rental place make their quota for the week, lol.

i need a back hoe since it has both the excavator and front end loader on it. and i need to use it for about a week. i got to pull some stumps pulled up, do some leveling, and put down some dirt/top soil; all in the front yard. and i need to put down some rock in the back yard.

We came into a little extra money and this was one of our projects that had to get done. Come to find out the septic line was nearly apart because the previous owners and/or builders did such a shit job. It was a disaster waiting to happen.

We had to put the bulk of that money away for something far more important.

Anyway, for a day we got a rototiller and the excavator which was about $450. $40 of that is deposit which we'll get back. It's actually a little lower than I expected. I don't know where you live, but shop around. We only have this one place that rents out big equipment. If there'd been more than one, we might've gotten a better deal.

I don't envy your husband having to remove that stump. When I first moved in to my house, there was a large conifer in the front garden which, although was several metres away from the house, was still large enough to block out quite a lot of light. As it was almost dried out anyway, I hired a guy to cut it down and remove the stump. He managed OK with all his equipment, but even with what he had, it was no easy task.

Co-worker who comes in at 10 and goes to lunch most of the time at 12. I simply wouldn't allow that if I were a supervisor.

I need to buy from that guy.

Every year I wind up complaining about the money that went up in literal smoke. This year we'll go to the back deck and have a very nice view of the city fireworks.

I'm not buying any but I'm sure my sister and her lovable husband will buy some. Will be interesting to see how they handle having a 25 month old child around devices that can light up and explode.

Oh there was a brand new bottle of some no-name Ranch that I tried to use this morning. After about 5 minutes of effort got me about 1 table spoon of dressing I just launched it into the trash. At least I didn't pay for it.

Same here, yet everyone in town buys tons of them and sets them off all summer; pre and post July 4th. Don't think the cops care at all, never heard of anyone getting busted for it. They don't give a shit about seat belts either which is a law in Ohio. My town's cops are pretty laid back lol

Seat belts should definitely be enforced for obvious reasons.
