Yeah I know being fired doesn't help but they had stuff like false documentation from a supposed December write-up at the termination meeting. Obviously they thought this out and I hated working there so it's not like I was going to fight for the job. My guess is they knew that and were counting on it.

Eh, there are plenty of places even in this rathole town where I can work as a case worker or a therapist after I get my LMFT. Betting NMSU will even help me do it.

My lower back ALWAYS hurts after sleeping over at my girl’s place or if she stays over at mine. If I have the bed to myself, it’s fine. If I’m sharing it with her, I wake up in pain. I have this theory that it’s because I can’t roll around as much when she’s in the bed so I pretty much stay sleeping in one position all night, but who knows. It’s super annoying.

Nah, I was absolutely miserable there for at least 2 years. There's a reason that place has a bad reputation in this town and has a ridiculous turnover rate of contracted employees. Seemed like every week another employee was quitting or let go. I just wasn't smart enough to get out before they got me. CYFD will welcome me with open arms, if not someone else. Lot of need for mental health services in this town. Just gotta get my master's, work off my student loans and then see about moving to California to live with my brother.

I don't mind it so much at my house, but it's a pretty restless night at her house. I sleep as if I were in a coffin, just can't get comfortable on my sides. When I stay the night, she moves around and shakes me too much. Sometimes I want to give her a love tap upside the head and whisper, "STOP IT!"

It's is a real thing!

I'm worse off than my wife, but both she and I suffer from chronic pain ( mine is service connected )

And we now each sleep in separate beds because of it and we are so happy

And it is all about having the freedom to move around in the bed to get into the most comfortable position
which does constantly change.

So you are absolutely right about what you are thinking/saying, that sharing the bed is the problem!

Signed the paper, picked up the keys and spent some time in our new home. So now I’m wondering if there is hard wood under the carpet in our master bedroom I’m afraid to pull it up and discover damage to it if there is. Definitely some work that needs to be done

Thinking about the girl I had lunch with earlier today.

I have a class with her but never once thought about approaching her. Today, we kind of just happened to run into each other. Exchanged a few words and next thing you know we're sitting together having a conversation over lunch for an hour.

Had to take out a new credit card a month ago to finance new air conditioning unit. I was cool with it.

Until today.

Got the first statement in the mail and the minimum payment is WAY higher than I ever thought it'd be.

OUCH Biz. Now that the place is cleaned out of furniture we noticed an A/C hole that’s been boarded over in the master bedroom. The Mrs is talking about getting some sort of pane glass to match the house. Which sounds cool. I’m definitely seeing some work that needs to be done. I’m a little concerned about getting some of it done before we move in. I have no idea what we are going to do once the trailer gets unloaded?

It doesn’t help that we took The MiL and Boy to see it yesterday and she didn’t seem to have a nice thing to say. Add to that our Boy was running around being a kid at the most inopportune time. It was the most silent, uncomfortable ride back here. I ended up taking a drive and resisting the urge to stop and have a drink at the bar. Anyway, she was talking about taking him back there later today alone. So I’ll see how that plays out.

LOL yeah alcohol is a well-known pain-killer.

Thinking about how no one in my family except my middle sister knows I lost my job. Just not something I'm eager to share. Another reason I wish I were already at a point where I didn't have to work these crummy jobs. Would've been nice if my CPhT career had panned out.

Have you tried going into business for yourself? Lots of internet jobs these days. You could make stuff and sell it on Etsy. Or you could play video games and stream on Twitch. Or you could do YouTube, etc.

Nah I'd suck at that. Think I just need to keep my nose down and get through these next 60 credits and then maybe someday I can run my own therapy clinic or case work office. Going to be awhile but at least it's a light at the end of the tunnel.
