It's going to be awhile before I get back to Europe but I don't see any reason why I can't start thinking about my next trip. For my third trip, I had been thinking of going to one of the countries in the below pic. I have a feeling I'd like to keep it somewhere in or near Eastern Europe. Poland, Belarus, Serbia. A smart choice would probably be to go somewhere where I know someone (online) so that I can meet them. I've known this girl from Slovenia for 10 years now and would like to meet her someday. Met this cool highschool kid from Sarajevo, Bosnia so that would be cool to go there. So many places, so little time!

It's not a fee to get her money out. she's paying back the tax benefits recieved when the money was put in. There are hardship clauses though that allow for money to be taken out without penalty as long as it's paid back in a specified amount of time. Usually a death especially a spouse qualifies in the hardship catagory.

I would of course see more towns/cities than just Prague but I'd love to spend at least two weeks there and spend one week doing the tourist thing and then the second just like a local. Sit in some cafes or outdoors in some nice plaza and just people watch. Before I realized I wouldn't be going back anytime soon, I had thought about driving in Czech Republic and it makes me nervous but I handled driving in Germany and Austria just fine.

Himmel, if you want, check out Stanglwirt wellness spa in Austria. I did not stay there and I probably never will but it looks pretty freaking awesome. What do you think?

Yeah, it's perfect i like the scenic pics of it very relaxing imo.

either way, i don't think it's right that someone has to pay taxes on money that they got because their spouse died.

the irs just has to get their cut out of every single penny that goes through someone's hands. it's never, "hey, sorry your spouse died; but at least they left you some money." it's always, "your spouse died and left you some money...now give us our cut."

that's why, if i ever won the lottery, i'd take the lump sum, let them take the taxes out of it, then what's left over is all mine. damn a bunch of that paying taxes on it every year. just gimme my money and let me go have fun.

I seriously don’t have time or the resources Himmel. I’m too preoccupied with getting the house finished so we can move in. Unfortunately we got a surprise the house inspector didn’t find. A leak under the house, so having a plumber coming out tomorrow. On the bright side it was found and we know where the moisture under the house is coming from. Many of us have seen people sucking their thumbs in public once or twice in our lifetimes. It's nothing, right? Well, today I saw a girl of about 9 not so much sucking on her thumb but just plugging her mouth with it. She never once took it out of her mouth even while she fiddled with a cell phone. It was surreal as ****. Is it a form of mental illness?

Also on the train this morning there was a guy with his back to everyone standing by the door. As the train approached my stop I moved forward and stood behind him to prepare to disembark. As soon as I did that he turns around and faces me. We're barely 6 inches apart me and this guy. Now why the **** did he go and do that? Was he worried about me feeling him up or something? Mind you he was standing there with his back to the rest of us for more than 5 minutes. I'm standing behind you so that I DON'T have to stare at you in the eyes. Jerk.

I've had a contingent of Army soldiers posted at my transit hub on an almost daily basis. These aren't your typical stoic, watchful GI Joes you see on TV and in movies - these guys and gals look like regular people: standing around shooting the breeze, fiddling with their cell phones and doing other stuff you don't normally associate with highly-trained soldiers. They're supposed to be watching their surroundings and staying alert. I have faith in these guys that when the time comes they'll spring into action and be soldiers but it really doesn't look good to be standing around staring at a phone.

First off, Taco Bell is fine dining. Secondly, no Culver's down there in Breaking Bad land? Too bad. They have some damn tasty burgers and crispy chicken sammichs. Plus, they do frozen custard instead of ice cream. Think I just sold myself on where to go. Lol.
