I read this riddle earlier but thinking about it again when you guys are answering. At first I thought it could be 1 person. There are five people in a room. You came in... Did he come in when there were five people in the room or only four and the killer makes five?

But the answer, let's say there were six people total. The answer is six. Even though they're dead, they're still people. Unless he removed the bodies from the room...final answer, six. I'm right, you're all wrong. End of story. Good day to you!

Slaving away one a huge project at work and just stopped to realize how thankful I am to be surrounded by some truly exceptional people.

Do banks automatically raise credit limits on credit cards without prior notice or without me requesting it? Sorry if this is a weird question but I got a CC with a $600 limit last December and last time I checked (3 days ago) my balance was $591.00. I checked again this morning and the balance is the same but my available credit is just over $500. Either they raised my credit limit to $1,100 without telling me or I'm reading something wrong.

It seems anymore these days they do it of their own accord. They should notify you when they do it though. I had a Capital One card before the last small "depression" and every couple of weeks I could request a limit increase. I'd put $500, they'd give me $2000. Got it up to $50,000. That card finally closed from lack of use. The one I have now has no option to request an increase and I've only gotten 1 since having it (8 years, went from $500 to $2500). However they do send me periodic emails asking to update my income info for "future consideration for limit increases."

Totally normal. If your credit is good, and you make all your payments, they’ll usually raise it without asking. I’ve had my Amazon, Best Buy, Discover, Capital One, and more all be raised without me asking.

I ruined my credit some years ago but it must've been repaired because I've been getting credit and loan offers like crazy. I'm paying on time so maybe that's helping my cause but I'm not maintaining a healthy balance like I should. Maybe that's also helping my credit score lol

Credit score is all about acruing debt and then proving you can consistently make payments on time.

Every time I see ads for credit checking, the people seem proud of their low scores. I say "low scores" because mine is much higher.

Why do the ads show off such lousy scores?wouldnt higher scores be better for the ad?

I overpaid my Sears-MasterCard last month. I have roughly $45 in credit. That’s okay because that credit will end up being a balance, since that is my primary credit card.

The service they provide will be used whether the actors show low scores or high.

I saw one ad where the guy only had a 720 score and he seemed excited by it, it was weird. If I ever got a 720 I’d be concerned and wonder why.

I don’t really care that he had a 720, but why be excited that you have a 720?

to most people, 720 is a good score.

and according to most credit reporting companies, 670-739 is considered good.

Most people can't get into the 800s so I am guessing they are trying to be realistic.

I’m currently at 816. The lowest I’ve dropped is 806. I assumed that was normal. So I’m above average?

Have always thought the same but maybe they do that so people don't feel bad?

In credit score only. But yeah, mine is pretty good as well hence my curiousity. I almost ran mine through Wells Fargo until I read the fine print and found out that if you do, they could potentially use that in the future if you apply for a loan, mortgage, etc. So yeah, no thanks.

take note that is from experian, one of the 2-3 big credit reporting agencies; so the scores may be different according to the others...

so according to this chart, you have exceptional credit. not too bad.

i was working on mine and had it going up, and everything was looking good. then, i got laid off and had to cut back on how much i was paying. now, i'm getting calls asking for more money; even though i've told them what happened and how much i can currently pay. but all they say is "we need more...we need more...we need more..." yeah, i get that. but i can't give you more if there IS no more. it's kind of a physical impossibility to give you something i don't have. and my credit score has been going down ever since because they list them as late payments with late fees. and 2 of them have closed the accounts; which looks even worse. and my credit is basically screwed at this point. so now i have to find some way of building it back up, again.

if only i could find one of those pesky jobs people talking about.....
