Got banned for a month on crapbook...
I swear, people take offense to everything nowadays!
I posted on a news story that said Hackers were responsible for something bad that happened. I said, "please use the correct terminology. Hackers do stuff for fun and don't hurt or harm. Crackers are the malicious uaers."

I got banned for that.
WTF?

most likely because they can't distinguish between the correct usage of the term "cracker" and think everything is racist. unfortunately it's because they're uneducated and just don't even care to learn.

I never knew you could be banned from that site. Then again, I deleted mine like 7 years ago. Glad I got out when I did. Sounds like a disgusting cesspool now.

Why, in 2018, would you want to?

I made one 13 years ago, because I was forced to. I had a group project in college, and apparently exchanging numbers "wasn't good enough" the morons in my group wanted to keep in touch through Facebook.

Haven't used the site in years.

Yup. I can't think of any real uses for Faceplantbook. The "stay in touch with family/friends" thing is no longer a viable reason due to the myriad of other social platforms that are out there. Plus, people in general don't seem to really care about staying in touch with anyone but their closest and current BFFs. FB is essentially just an outlet for gangbangers to air their grievances.

Reconnecting with old friends. And apparently, I missed my 10 year high school reunion because that's how everyone got notified. 2019 is twenty year reunion. Figure I'll kill the account after that.

Tried looking up some of my old High School chums on FB - only found one. Was equally unsuccessful trying to locate other people from my past. The notion that EVERYBODY is on FB is just a myth. A lot of people are also "Incognito" or otherwise set their pages to Private so what's the point? I actually tried to close my account a while ago but was directed to a pulldown menu where they give you a choice of settings as a way to get people not to kill the page. I chose "Cool my heels while I think it over" something or other

don't have a facebook account
don't want a facebook account
don't need a facebook account

and i certainly don't wanna hang out or talk to anyone with whom i went to high school; except my sister. we were 2 years apart and went to the same schools, together. but she's family and that's WAY different than any high school friend.

and i don't go to reunions, either. my memories of high school are about as close as i wanna get. some of them were decent, some were good, some were bad. but stuff i really wanna remember are things like the music. music was so awesome when i was in high school.

I made a Facebook over the summer solely so I can change my picture on the PSN, lol. I don't use it otherwise. I think there's seven people added on my friends list and that's it.

You can do that from the PlayStation mobile app. You don’t need Facebook.

Lol why are most people so down on their High School years? I had a horrible time the first 2 years but I still have fond memories of my time in HS. There's something about spending several years with the same group of people that's supposed to form strong lifelong bonds. Eh, nobody give a shit anymore.

Yeah, I get that some people could have just had bad high school experiences. But man, I actually enjoyed my high school years. (Middle school was a different story. My least-favorite two years of school, outside of some scattered nice memories here and there.) But high school was pretty fun for me. A lot of people I knew there I'd gone to school with since Kindergarten. We basically all grew up together and it was so great. Most of the friends I had I haven't seen since graduation, so I'd love to see them all again one day. We were tight-knit but just gradually drifted apart as we all went to different colleges. Plus, I had a lot of really cool teachers, too, including a few that really helped me improve in various areas.

You can also get locked out of your account and temporarily blocked from liking posts/pages and commenting too much too often. I've had that happen once before....I liked several pages in a row and got blocked for about a week (they even give you a date/time you can resume liking).

You can keep in touch with people and "share your life," but if you "like" things too much, Zuck-n-Crew put their foot down.
