Thinking about starting up a little online shop, run out of my spare bedroom. I've been buying/selling movies, v-games and other collectibles at swap meets for the last couple years. My customers keep asking if I have a web presence, as I only sell at swap meets twice a year. I quit my 2nd job 2 weeks ago, so I have a little flexibility in my schedule now. Definitely won't get rich doing it so have no plans to give up my F/T job just yet, but it seems like it may be time to create a e-comm site or maybe even a eBay page. (kinda wary on e-bay as I've read that its ridiculously easy for sellers to get screwed over)

I've tried to sell things on eBay before with no success so I took the stuff I wanted to sell to a pawn shop instead.

I had an Amazon store and did pretty good selling used & sealed DVDs and Blu-rays. Made close to $1,000 one year. It became a bit of a hassle after a while so I just stopped. Sometimes I'd get 2 or 3 emails from Amazon within the space of a couple of hours notifying me of a sale, which made me happy, but I had to scramble to package the items properly and take them to the PO for shipping - everything had to be by a certain time to avoid neg feedback and poor ratings from Amazon. Just a heads up that selling online could be a big headache and not worth it.

I know I certainly gave a seller on eBay negative feedback because it took forever for me to get my new powerbeats3s. He put them in a sign on delivery box and no one was home so I didn't get it till over a week after it was delivered and I had to stand in line to get it. Negates all the convenience of online shopping.

I don't blame him for doing that. I'm sure he did that to ensure he had proof of delivery to avoid any potential scams from buyers who might claim that they never received the item.

Women are on my mind.
Good ones, bad ones, ones I haven’t figured out yet.
I think that’s why I’m partially nutso.

Welp just had our 4th trip to the vet in less than 5 weeks. He had a stroke at first that turned out to be his heart going into a-fib. Our second visit he has an abscess under his tooth. Looked like a bee stung his face. Then the abscess ruptured and has a whole the size of a nickel on his face. Came home late last night to a bloody water dish. Now it’s a tumor in his mouth that opened up. He still eats and drinks normal which the vet said is a huge plus. He will be 19 in April. Just make him happy and take it one day at a time. They did give us some more pain meds. Those seem to help out at night when I am gone at work.

I don’t want to have to put him down but I think it’s very selfish of me. I don’t want to take away days from him but I also don’t want him to be in pain. Some days life just sucks more than others.

It was the hardest day of my life when my dog was diagnosed with lung cancer and I had to end his suffering by putting him down.

I think his groomer did it because she smokes and no one in our house does.

Its weird thinking my pet is my child. I got him when he was a few months old and now he is almost 19 years old. Just really happy that he chose me. I want to be by him but every time I pick him up or move him to me, he gets up and walks back to the couch to sleep. Just gotta make him happy and comfortable as I can.

It was really weird visit to the vet. He usually hisses at everyone and tries to swipe at them. This time he just jumped up on the chain next to me a curl up. It's possible it was the pain meds.

Uh, to have buyer protection you want a signature on expensive purchases. I hope he got that feedback removed as that was some straight up bs on your part. You leave negative feedback for a seller who 1. Made sure they didn’t get stolen 2. Got delivered to the right person....and they were technically timely. God forbid you had to go stand in the line at the post office because the seller - who isn’t psychic - didn’t know your schedule.

You should go edit that as that’s just gross, dude. Nothing - NOTHING - pisses me off more as a seller than getting bad feedback for the post office errors or the fact that I didn’t personally hand deliver it to the special snowflake and know when they were home and how they wanted their items folded.

Don’t be a bad buyer. Be a decent, honest person.

Wasn't there supposed to be a Star Wars movie this month? I'm so out of the loop it's not even funny.

The release schedule so far has been one movie per year, we already got Solo this summer.

Episode IX should be next year.

Also Bob Iger said they’d be cutting back, so maybe they will stop the "one per year" cycle and push it back to every two years?

I thought the spin-offs were supposed to be considered standalones as far as "annual" SW films? Anyway, I got used to a new SW film every December - not sure I'll get used to one every two years. It is what it is.

Well that’s how it’s been "so far"

Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens (2015)
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016)
Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi (2017)
Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018)

The original plan was to have the "episodes" every two years with "anthology" films between to fill the gaps, so one per year.

Now with Bob saying they would pull back a little, who knows?

They could of kept putting out 1 SW movie a year if...

*They had just apologized for The Last Jedi ( at least admitted it was bad )
*Told their employees to shut the f**k up and not attack the Fans for not liking TLJ
*Officially canned Rian Johnson
*Fire Kathleen Kennedy

But what do they do, renew Kenny's contract and cancel a lot of SW movies!

Anything else is just speculation, like it seems Johnson is out, but how do we know
when they've not said anything publicly.

I'm an original fan, I was there in May 1977 on opening night, STAR WARS blew the whole worlds mind when it came out.

Now I could give 2 shits about it or Lucas Film!
