I'm an original fan, I was there in May 1977 on opening night, STAR WARS blew the whole worlds mind when it came out.

Now I could give 2 shits about it or Lucas Film!

I'm really hoping the next movie flops, but we all know that won't happen. My interest in Star Wars is at an all time low because of what happened with The Last Jedi. It's obvious KK knows nothing about nor cares about Star Wars and Johnson is just a dick. Lucasfilm employees calling anyone with the slightest criticism sexist and racist surely doesn't help their case.

I think the worst of people who cheat on their spouses. I wouldn't want it done to me so I won't do it - that sort of thing. Being unfaithful seems to have surpassed taboo status and is now widely accepted as normal. At least that's my impression of the subject from co-workers and people around me (including family). Everyone I know freely admits to playing their better halves dirty. To them it's as common as brushing their teeth! That's why marriage isn't for me. It just doesn't work.

there's nothing wrong with having a crush on a married woman. there are plenty of beautiful, married women in the world that boys and grown men have a crush on. having a crush on someone isn't a bad thing.....even if they're married. acting on that crush even when you know they're married? that's not really a good idea.

i'm the same way. cheating on a spouse (or even a girlfriend/boyfriend) is absolutely wrong. i've never done it (even though i had chances) and i always expected the same from anyone i was dating. actually, i always had 3 rules when i was dating:

don't ever lie to me
don't ever hit me unless it's warranted
don't ever cheat on me

anything else i can handle and can be worked out. but if any of those 3 things happened, relationship is over instantly and i'm on my way somewhere else.

saying "sorry" or "it was only 1 time" or "it didn't mean anything" doesn't cut it. if they were sorry, they wouldn't have done it in the first place. if it was only 1 time, then there will be a 2nd time (and more if given more chances). and if it didn't mean anything, but they still cheated, then obviously OUR relationship didn't mean anything, either. because they felt the need to cheat, anyway.

I don't ever want to hurt the person I'm with, but it's hard to speak in black and white issues when there can be extenuating circumstances.

I work in a field of mostly men, so temptation that's always present isn't an issue with me.

I'm not advocating cheating, but I guess my point is it's easy to say you won't cheat when there's a lack of opportunity. It's also easy to come down on people who do cheat, people do change in relationships. Someone you love can turn cold towards you or declare that intimacy is not important to them anymore as they get older.

I guess it's easy to speak on platitudes when sometimes it's not always that simple, especially when you aren't in that position.

it IS easy to say; even when there ARE opportunities. as i said earlier, when i was dating there were plenty of opportunities for me to cheat. but i didn't because i was committed to another person and i took that commitment seriously. again, just don't do it. if you can't control yourself (and i'm not speaking about YOU specifically, just in the general sense), then you don't need to be in a committed relationship. you just need to be dating casually and not committed to just one person.

you're correct, again. it's easy in this case, as well. and, again, if people change in a relationship and they find themselves thinking about or actually cheating on their partner, then they need to leave that relationship. all they're doing is betraying the trust from the other person.

yep, still easy on this one, too. and, no, it's not always simple ("it" being the situation). but the act of cheating is simple. it takes 2 consenting people to engage in that act. and while 1 of them may not know the other is in a relationship with someone else, the other one does and is cheating of their own free will.

also, please know that i'm not coming down on you or trying to speak down to you in any way. i just find the act of cheating to be repulsive and immature and take something like that very seriously. and i don't abide by it nor will i condone it in any way or accept it from anyone with whom i'm in a relationship. to me, it is flat out a betrayal of trust and once that trust has been broken, it's gone.

I tend to be the same way. I've never cheated on a girlfriend that I can recall. I know one time, we were kind of off again but not completely and I used that time to fool around with this woman even knowing my gf and I weren't completely over.

My first crush on a married woman was when I was a senior in high school and we both worked at this buffet. We flirted but nothing more than that ever happened. I do remember, and I don't know. Just goes to show what certain people can get away with but the owner knew that we flirted and he told us to just make sure that the customers didn't see.

When I was stationed in Japan, there was a Filipino woman that worked at the exchange on base and while we never did anything sexual, we did fool around a bit. Had I had the chance to sleep with her, I'm not sure if I would have had the strength to say no.

I think while I've been with a number of women, I have not had nearly as much sex as I should or could have so sometimes I may think back and be like damn, I should have tried harder or done this or that. I guess it's good that my regrets are of NOT doing the wrong thing instead of not doing the right thing

In regards to cheating, I think the image is of a doting husband or wife and the unscrupulous spouse who lies, manipulates and is the easy villain in any story is what most people think about. That's easy, black and white example that most people can get behind.

But that's not every example, try being in a loveless marriage that's compounded on you having to stay together for children, illness or financial reasons.

Again, I'm not advocating cheating and at least half the time it's most people are ******** that are selfish. But I hate to be in those other examples. I think intimacy between a couple is so important and without that, I can see why people stray. Personally, I think people should at least separate but not everyone can. So while I'm not saying "cheating is okay", I'm saying that I can understand why some people may do it when there's little hope in their relationship and it's not always because they are bad people.

In the "Blu-ray Movies - North America" section a while ago, I mentioned that I didn’t like that a certain someone cheated on his wife, I got yelled at by a bunch of people defending cheating.

It’s sickening how many people defend it.

I just realized that I don’t have a bottle opener. I was about to open my apple cider and saw that there is a bottle cap at top. I used a flat-head screwdriver to pry it open and it worked!

Note to self: buy a bottle opener when I go to Target.
