What's up with people wearing frames without lenses? If you don't need glasses, why wear them? It looks so stupid, but I've seen people do it.

Another stupid trend some hipster is trying to start, like not wearing socks. I hate the current generation.

The majority of these people who 'aren't wearing socks' are actually wearing no-show socks. They sit below the shoe line. Looks much better than the 'dad sock' look, IMO.

vs.

But more importantly, this generation is always curious why other generations care so much about what we do and how we dress. Even if we weren't wearing socks, it wouldn't affect your life whatsoever. No point in wasting energy on being upset about what someone else is wearing.

Dude, no offense, but didn't you get banned recently? I have a pretty good idea why you got a timeout - you come to this thread to complain about people complaining. It's a "what's on your mind" thread - a place where people should feel free to speak their mind. I don't consider it complaining. Just don't get all bent out of shape about what others talk about.

Isn't that what I'm doing? Speaking my mind?

I'm not bent out of shape at all. Just letting you know that low socks exist, and often it looks like people aren't wearing socks, but they really are.

Also, I got suspended for posting a gif from a movie that had an inappropriate word in it. Not for 'complaining' in this thread.

Speaking your mind is one thing but complaining about other people complaining in a thread meant for open talk is counter-productive. I wouldn't even be saying anything but this is the second time you've done it to me. Not wanting to start an argument, just saying.

I'm not targeting you or anything, if that's what you're insinuating. I don't ever look at people's names really. Just saw something relatable and replied to it. I wear no-show socks. Random people have said things to me before like 'ew you're not wearing socks?' and I take off my shoe to show them that I am.

Low-cut/ankle-cut socks are so awkward to me. I've tried them before but constantly felt like I needed to reach down and pull them back up. I can only wear regular-length socks. Which, sure, probably does look funny if you wear shorts. But I never wear shorts (except for during summer and even then only just around the house), so it's not a big deal for me.

You people are weird
Now we’re talking about socks?
I do wear ankle socks, even with long pants, because it keeps my ankles cool.
The only time I wear "regular" socks is when there is snow on the ground, to keep my ankles from freezing.

Back in the day people used a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) such as the one above. Now people have Smartphones that can do everything these old PDAs could do, and so much more.

My question is: can Smartphones be considered PDAs?

I exclusively wear ankle/no show socks. I can't wear "regular" socks. They feel awkward to me. I also wear shorts all year round. I'm a walking furnace, I'm always hot. Ankle/no show socks look better when you're wearing shorts. The only time I wear jeans or sweat pants is if I'm going to be outside for an extended period of time when it's cold out. Otherwise, I'm in shorts pretty much always.

Pooey Puitton toy purse makers file lawsuit against Louis Vuitton. Not worth making a thread in the strange/humorous news section, but I did laugh hearing the guy on radio having to talk about Pooey Puitton in his "serious" news person voice. Kinda caught me off guard.

I might be really weird then. I wear ankle socks all the time. I can't stand the others anymore unless I have to wear them like dressy socks.

absolutely

pda = personal digital assistant

a phone is personal, it is digital, and it is an assistant. it can take notes, receive/send emails, make calls, etc. hell, you can even get one with a stylus similar to the one the old pda had.
