Is this because I said "was" instead of "am" because I'm pretty sure "was" is the correct grammar in this instance. Once food is eaten, it doesn't exist anymore. Thus once eaten, it's in the past tense.

How often does one make a perfectly (or near perfectly) round omelet? I don't know if you can tell in the photo, but it's thick too. So it's round and tall.

I got a weird phone call a couple of hours ago. It was a robocall, we all get those but this call came in on both my cell and my landline at the same time. The automated message said something about a summons and appearing in court and gave me a number to call. The caller didn't have a foreign accent so that (probably) rules out a scam but I don't want to completely dismiss it. If I'm being summoned to court, don't they usually send a notice by mail first?

It works the other way too. Turn on the TV, and if it's on the input of something that's turned off, it will turn it on.

..but then I turn my Xbox off and the TV shuts off with it, so I have to turn the TV back on, but since it's still on the Xbox input, the Xbox turns back on, and it just goes around and around..

I wonder why people feel the need to shorten words. More recently I've heard more and more foodies say "black pep" or "pep" when cooking. I mean, if you're going through the "trouble" saying black pep, which there are eight letters, you might as well say the whole thing. It's only three more letters.

i used to work with a guy whose brother would say "lol"....like he would say it phonetically. and he would always sound so mundane when he said it. one time i said, "dude! really?! if you're not going to actually laugh out loud, then don't even say that. it sounds moronic."

Oh man, I've heard of this and hoped that it was just a joke or an urban legend. I hoped that no one that stupid really existed. Now I fear that there are more, many more, like this guy. Another symptom of the rapid decline and fall of our society.
