I scamper off into a broom closet on my lunch hour and eat, watch TV and even take naps. Have been doing this for 20+ years. I cherish my lunch hour and use every minute of it wisely. I come back to work refreshed and ready to work again. Any interruption in that flow causes me undue aggravation and stress

at the movie theater and suddenly wondering why there's a Tornado Siren going off - cuz it make no sense to the movie and then the slow count of 3-2-1 every cellphone going off - O shit!

Why are people walking around with surgical masks? Is it some kind of fashion trend? At first all I saw were Asian people doing it but this morning there was a young white guy on my train wearing a "trendy" black one. WTF? Should I steer clear of these people??

He might be trying to avoid catching something and/or may have a compromised immune system (e.g. cancer patient on chemo).

That makes sense. I should've known this since my Mom had cancer but she was never told she needed to wear one in public. We were told to be extra careful around her at the hospital but people still went in unprotected. Cancer seems to be everywhere now since I see a lot of people wearing the masks, including young people.

This is kinda silly. I always drive with my windows up because tbh I like the air on, and the wind just doesn't cut it. Past few days I've been riding with them down, and I'm not sure why I even decided to do that. The town is loud! I forgot how noisy everything can be. The smells, the sights even the roads, it's like God turned on ultra to the max settings. Sheesh.

I was at the grocery store just a lil while ago and the young lady at the check out kinda judged me. She didn't greet me like she did with those ahead of me, and her demeanor was also different. Sure, I hadn't shaved in a couple of days, hadn't showered yet this morning and I smell of smoke from yesterdays picnic. Maybe I look a bit rougher than the previous customers, hahaha, but it still perturbed me somewhat. I'm mildly annoyed, not angry, like when I'm tailed by security at some stores.
Oh well. It's another beautiful day and I'm gonna enjoy it greatly!

Tried to start the car and the display read: Damaged key. I replaced the battery and still no response. Great, I have to borrow dad's truck to go get a new one programed in the morning...because who wouldn't want to spend $300 on a freaking key. I mean my dad is awesome so he's paying for it but still. 1 goddamn key.

yeah i hate that new keys cost that much. it's outrageous and uncalled for.

One reason I miss the cars of my youth in the 90s. There wasn't a battery with a key like there is now.

and it was much easier to hotwire a car if the ignition was broken or wouldn't turn. now, with keys having chips in them, it's almost impossible to hotwire a car.

A buddy of mine back home sent me a pic of a 1978 F350 for sale about 15 miles from where I live. It looks like it's in good shape and the seller is only asking $1500 for it, so I'm anxious to check it out in a couple days. It probably doesn't have a motor or something serious but hey that'll be ok with me - I'd love to have a little project truck, of course my better half will likely not agree
