When is a good time to tell management that you have a planned trip in August for 4 days to see family? My schedule is that I could do it on my days off since I'm part time and under 20 or so hours but what's the best time to tell them? Would next week be too early?

The sooner the better Xtempo. That way they can plan ahead and make sure your shift is covered while you are out.

what he said. the sooner the better as it helps in case someone else wants those days off, too. those who ask first, tend to get what they want.

ot: thinking about the next 2 days (that i have off) and how good it is to have them...i'm just damn tired, right now.

I saw a box turtle in the woods the other day. He looked at me then looked away. In that brief moment, I think he knew I was wondering what he tastes like.

1 more day of work and then two off finally. Then back to 4 and 5 hour shifts rather than 8 and 9.

Lot attendant at Home Depot, part time but they usually give me like 25 to 30 hours a week. Around memorial day I was doing nearly 40.

Does that mean you have to keep watch on who, and what goes on before people walk inside?

No but some people do seem to think I'm security, but I'm not.

I just get carts and put them up front and along the side of the store at night, along with loading cars for customers. It's a pretty easy job and I'm left alone 100% of the time. I'm notified on a walkie-talkie when and where I need to load someone. Lot of freedom but the weather is a killer on these 90 degree days.

Oh, okay. I had a job like that at a liquor store in the past. Best, easiest job ever. Loaded cases of whatever and then posted up waiting for the next customer.
That store sent me over to another location and wanted me to sit behind a desk all day, I quit. Never had walkie-talkies though. Sounds like fun.

been there, done that...and it does suck when it's hot/humid outside.

the upside is it helped me get a lot of steps in and i'd usually go way over my goal. so i knew i was at least getting some decent exercise and burning a few calories here and there; from all the walking and sweating.

If you've been suspended or banned, understand that your passion is literally the reason ToS exists. Don't take it personally, insofar as it's you're 'fault'. Instead think of the experience like this: if not for your chimp out, the algorithm couldn't evolve to mimic human behaviors. Whether this be in your favor or against, advertisements can not thank you enough.

Even the coolest woman can be batshit crazy sometimes (although you can say that about anyone).

*****es be loco On a similar note, so are kids. My son is in rare form today and just spewing out venomous shit for no apparent reason. Which isn’t working for me. Nor is my wife and MiL’s advice to go into a separate room. That’s just ignoring the problem and I’m not good at ignoring a problems. So between this and the unemployment situation it is causing a strain on my marriage. I feel like doing a David Banner at this point.

Don't get The Donster angry, You won't like him when he's angry.

I hear ya Don, my future SIL is visiting for the wedding this weekend and I really can't stand her stuck up attitude and some of the BS she spews out is just asking me to knock her the heck out. Oh and lets not forget it seems whenever she's visiting my fiancee turns into a different person, she's like Dr Jeckyl and Mr[s] Hyde at this point. I don't like ignoring problems either but we have to fight our own battles and sometimes its easier to just walk outside or into another room - and/or as my mom used to say "bite your tongue" so the issue(s) don't escalate.

LOL, thanks Mike. Good luck on the marriage front. It took me 3 tries to find family members I liked. Well, until her brother got weird on us after the sell or the house and her mom moved with us. Although she’s not all bad, just a lot of work sometimes.

My internet is down and cell service is sketchy.
I’m wondering if the Alien Attack is imminent.
