i still dont understand that rationale. so, the droplets wont go through the mask if i sneeze or cough BUT it WILL go through the mask from someone else who sneezes or coughs?

thats never going to happen. it will be area by area where infection is running rampant.

What’s the building shaped like a triangle? Why is it shaped like a triangle?

My employer is cutting back hours and giving us all between 40 and 80 hours of sick time, depending on if you're full time or part time.

I've no idea. London is built on medieval foundations. So the traffic is a nightmare.

read something interesting last night. what if the virus has been in the U.S. since December before the media got hold of it?? the more I thought about it, the more it made sense.

in our area, people were getting hit hard with flu like symptoms but weren't testing positive for the flu. kids were getting sick, going back to school, then getting sick again. there was talk of shutting the school down for 2 weeks back in January already and giving it a deep clean.

my supervisor said she's had the flu in the past but never as bad as she had it back in December. she couldn't do anything w/o wanting to throw up....even standing.

just thought it was an interesting theory.

I had a bad cold also in January, and I also had a flu shot, God knows what I had, but it was bad and I also got minor ear infection.
Not to mention I had pneumonia last June.

The ability to date this particular virus with genetic testing is unreal these days. They probably know what week it started crossing over to humans.

I think people are mixing up flu symptoms in the US because this had the potential to be one of the worst flu seasons in 3 decades, it was a very rare strain but the flu shot was half effective (very good).

Influenza B Victoria is more fatal to children, hasn't really been widespread since 1992-1993 season (28 years ago)

Edmonton reduced all transit to weekend service hours and have created a nightmare. Companies here are still not getting a clue and forcing employees in so there are just as many people trying to get to work and reduced transit = people jam packing into buses and trains. The complete opposite of what should be happening right now St. Albert which is an adjoining city doubled their service and obviously the much smarter way to handle this since more service means people can keep distance on transit instead of getting packed in.

The initial numbers from China were likely a lot worse when they were in cover up mode but they are too much under the magnifying glass to be getting away with it with the current numbers. A lot of officials from WHO and other countries in China that are backing it up. The other thing that backs up China containing it reasonably well after the initial phase is that a lot of the cases that have emerged outside of China have been linked to European and Middle Eastern travel. Iran in particular made things a lot worse since they are refusing to do anything about the spread and are treating it as a conspiracy against them.

It's the London Pavilion, and was built on a plot that was chopped into a triangular shape by the construction of Shaftesbury Avenue back in the 19th century. I think there's a Ripley's Believe It Or Not there now, among other things.

Is there a website that shows the coronavirus growth curve in the U.S. and other countries? The worldmeter site only gives the cases from the previous day, but without knowing the trends, it's not very helpful info. Any site that keeps track of this?
