I didn't know there was a difference between an urgent care clinic and an emergency room. Here a hospital is just a hospital. You just pick whichever you want.

Uhm, what ? Nobody is refusing people in Italy because they don't have insurance. There's just so many people coming in at the same time that they can't treat them all at the same time anymore.

Urgent care is more moderate, emergency room is severe. That's the best way I can think of to describe it.

Do you live here? Come to my neighborhood of Crown Heights Brooklyn, and see how many people are wearing masks for yourself. People here are carrying on like nothing has changed, and this is happening in tons of areas around the city. So, no, the majority of the 9 million people here are not wearing masks, and 100% have not been wearing masks every day prior to this, I have no idea what world you are living in, but that's not reality, and any New Yorker will tell you that..

The healthcare system in Italy is terrible. I have family that live there and they have stated this numerous times. Also no hospital in america turns away anybody. This person went to a walk in clinic, they don’t have a setup like a hospital. They’re pretty much doc in a box. Walk in walk out.

As a non-Belgian, would I be able to get treatment at a Belgian Hospital? What about in Italy?

We live in a close, so groups have decided to drive up our road to stop and congregate as police aren't as likely to patrol as often (as the fines are in place now). They're standing around talking with their phones in their hands ... I wonder what they could use those strange devices for?

Lived here for 35 years. Go to China town any day of the week and tell me the percentage of people not wearing face mask. I would even say 30% of subway riders wear them. People here are acting the same way, I wasn’t referring to the epidemic just normal life. People do wear mask in New York. It’s nothing something odd to see.

You mean people in Chinatown are more likely to wear masks? No shit Sherlock. It's more common and accepted in Asian communities, which in no way translates to the general population, which do not really wear masks at all. Aside from healthcare workers, or Asians, pretty much no one wore masks in this city prior to this. Come to reddit, or any other NYC forum and ask people there if they saw the majority of people wearing masks before this and you'll get laughed right off the board.

You’re missing the point of what I’m saying. Also not sure why you’re getting excited and taking this personal lol. I do a lot of business in the city and have been for years people wear mask. It’s not uncommon to see, that’s the point I’m making. Your location says NYC and then you tell me you live in Brooklyn. Big difference man.

I think so, yes. I know people from Holland are coming here for certain operations. Have no idea about Italy though.

Just because I live in Brooklyn does not mean I don't go all over the city. Most people who work in the city live in Brooklyn, and other boroughs if you weren't aware. I've been all over the city on a regular basis, and I rarely ever see anyone wearing masks. Perhaps you live in some alternate reality where this isn't the case. Agree to disagree if you want, but like I said, go ask around on some NYC forums and see what they say.

You really like saying alternate reality. I don't spend much time on the internet playing around on forums, I go outside enjoy life and live. So yea, again i have no interest in going on NYC forums. Didn't even know that was a thing. But hey man if you want let the boys over at the NYC forum know you ran into a guy another forum that said Ny'ers wear mask on the subways and walking around the city, then more power to ya... airborne is like a bird, it can fly anywhere in the room because it is in the air. This is more like jumping, I can jump and "be in the air" for a little while but the reality is all I am doing is pushing myself up and then falling. same here if you breath out the droplets will go a bit of distance before hitting the ground (or something else) if you cough or sneeze , now they are pushed even harder and can spend a bit more time in the air before landing.

Ok, so the U.S. is now at 112,000 cases with NY alone making up practically half of that.

Our goal is to at least flatten the curve. When is that expected to happen? Because this has been going on for a month and the curve keeps getting steeper instead of flatter.

At this point, it's getting extremely concerning. My mom just got off the phone with an old friend whose son is a nurse at Elmhurst hospital. And his son testified that the hospital is really bad and they are overwhelmed. The media isn't overhyping this.
