Should be interesting. I bet the OT will outsell the PT 2 to 1.
It will outsell the PT by 7 to 1.

Just got a hold of amazon. I was confused as my order says "two day shipping" but a delivery estimate for tomorrow. They told me it was upgraded to 1 day shipping.

My co-worker ordered the set last night and he got an email from amazon saying that his order will be delayed by 1 week do to the high volume of pre- orders for the Complete set and that they are having issues with existing pre-orders...

The only instance of this I noticed was in ROTJ in the sky over the sand-dunes when camera pans from the grazing banthas to Jabbas sail barge.

This may depend on where you are in the country. I'm on the east coast and mine updated to "shipping soon" this morning.

Jar Jar Stinks... you do realize you chose one website as your reference that polled less than a thousand people right? There's over 300 million in the United States although I don't know the latest stats on who owns a blu-ray player. Just sayin'.

On another note: I'm gonna choose to believe the folks that say there is no way these Saga sets are going to sell out for the first few days. I can't pick this up until 6 pm after work tomorrow and boy oh boy will I be irritated if I can't sneak in some of the set and some Star Wars Pringles this weekend.

And I'll add, the more I learn the less I know, so maybe I'm entirely out of the loop, but I've never seen that site before...

So much for preordering day 1.

I just got off of the phone with Amazon Customer service since you had posted this. They seem to have no idea what is going on.

I checked on my Prime order that was submitted rather late. Though my order has been charged and is listed as shipping soon (this morning) the woman could not give me any answer as to when it would be shipped. She kept saying that it is to be released tomorrow and they would receive them tomorrow; and mine would be shipped tomorrow or sometime next week. I told her that many people had already received their order and I pointed out that I had a Prime order and it was supposed to be delivered tomorrow. Also, she could not indicate if they had these in stock or had run out. Her comment was I should call tomorrow if I did not receive it by midnight tomorrow.

But she was also saying to expect it next week or to ship next week. I mentioned to her that I would not be here to receive it next week (leaving Wednesday for a week).

As I said, Amazon Customer Service seems to not have a clue.

Rich

Mine shipped yesterday too. It was confusing though to see that 2-day shipping.

I really hope they don't delay people's shippings, they should expect enough stock if they are promising pre-orders.

I find it interesting compared to how big of a difference there is between the saga buyers and non-buyers here in this poll. Of course, this is website that has a lot of Blu-Ray and home theater enthusiasts all concentrated into one place. Having a higher number of votes in favor of buying the whole set here makes sense. Slick deals is more of a neutral territory in that regard, and the number of non-buyers is pretty high. It will be interesting to see how the sales pan out. I'm sure it's still going to sell a lot no matter what, but what kind of record it sets, if any, is the question.

There are no other trailers. The discs start with a short loading screen with an animated R2-D2 and then go straight to the menu, so no legal disclaimers either. At least not on a Region B player. I heard the FBI warning comes up an a Region A player, though. When you start the movies there is only a completely redundant "20th Century Fox" logo clip before if goes to the actual movie (again with a 20th Century logo and the fanfare that you already heard seconds ago, if you didn't skip it).

There are no Star Wars trailers included, which is a shame, and I didn't see anything about the Media Director. Then again, I didn't look for that one, so I'm not sure.

If you mean Seinfeld: the complete series dvd Amazon will give you trade in credit of $52.50.

Just mail it to amazon which is free if you print the shipping label and bring it to the UPS store...

Not seeling out does not mean it won't sell well. The point being that, it's Star Wars...they could sell 5 billions sets of Blu-ray, you can bet Lucasfilm and 20th Century Fox have made 6 billions sets of them ready for sales

I'm just going to keep an eye on it. If I don't receive a shipping notification by tonight, I will cancel my order and go to Best Buy.

To make things even more confusing, I just received an e-mail from Amazon Customer service:

I can confirm that we still expect to ship your order in time to be delivered to you by Sep 16, 2011 .

We'll send you an e-mail when your order is shipped with your tracking number.

Mine shipped yesterday and I've been tracking it the whole way. It left Cali at 6 this morning so it will definitely be here by tomorrow morning. I'm a prime member btw.
