LFL logo, 'A long time ago..', STAR WARS, job done. If they want to put any music over the LFL logo then I'd love it to be a classic SW cue, like the first few seconds of this:

In the end, Fox controls the movies for a few more years. I could be wrong but they are under no obligation to release these films just because Disney says to. With the newspaper, it is a little different since you are selling the product on behalf of the paper - you are basically asking the company for the right to sell their paper. They didn't come to you and say "hey, want to sell this for us?". But as long as you pay for those papers, they can't force you to sell them. Here, Lucas made the film for Fox. Fox paid him to make the movie they owned and they would distribute. It is no different than any other movie even if Lucas owns the films - he made a deal with them to distribute and they do it whenever they want. That is thier right. If not, then what is the concern about not being able to release a complete set? Disney just tells them to release the film and gives them the specs they want and Disney leaves a spot in the box for it when they release the other films. So they don't get the money for it, big deal. Owning the film is only part of it - tons of films get made without distribution deals in place but it is that deal that gets it out to the public and you know the studio will make sure it is in their best interest.

In Episode VII's case, you make a point (personally I think Disney should have Touchstone release it). In the other subsequent ANH films' case, if you were like me when I was little, you'd always think Fox made and owned Star Wars.

Despite I, II, III, V, and VI being made by Lucasfilm with Fox handling distribution only, to me they still count as Fox films and are part of the Fox legacy (I think all of us feel that way).

Whatever logo(s) plans to open with VII before the Lucasfilm logo, I don't really care now (though I be filled with joy if it's Touchstone and Fox) but I'll say this (as I always do); I hope Disney preserves the Fox logo, fanfare, and Distributed By credit when they get them in 2020.

I wish Fox would or could release 4k transfers of the original trilogy. That would be the last time I would need to buy it. I'm sure it's not going to happen but one could dream I suppose.

That very well could be, hadn't thought about Marvel. But I do agree that it won't be the Fox logo before Episode VII, that's just absurd. Yes it holds some nostalgia but it also does for a lot of films (it's not unique to SW), and to be honest, in the theaters where I have seen Star Wars films over the years, it's the Lucasfilm logo that gets people all riled up.

That said, Disney is the distributor - and they also are putting their name on all the other new products (they don't just say Lucasfilm, they also say Disney), so it's a toss up to me if the Disney logo or not will be there. But there is no chance in heck the Fox one will be.

Yes, plus Obi-Wan just stood there waiting for the red wall to disappear , as Maul did, which made it seem even more odd (wouldn't both Jedi's do it, if its proper protocol?)

Maybe he realizes that he is going to get his ass kicked by Maul so he is preparing himself to become a force ghost. In the original Star Wars Obi Wan closes his eyes like he is meditating right before Vader swings his lightsaber.

Obi-Wan still had much to learn!
Qui-Gon being the more learned Jedi, knew he had time to meditate and prepare, while Maul was stalking him, much like a lion will stalk in a cage...waiting for the chance to pounce.
