Turbine Medien Germany will release a 4k UHD of "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" soon.
First they tricked the fans with a german "The Evil Dead" and "Braindead" release announcement (still forbidden here), that was a joke.

But the "Chainsaw Massacre" UHD is no april fools joke!

All upscales are new 4k transfers technically

Sure, but I still regard the use of the word "transfer" to mean the old-school sense, i.e. a specific film-to-video transferral process, and when I see the word mentioned in press releases then it usually transpires that, yes, a new film-to-video transfer has taken place. YMMV.

I wouldn't take anything for granted with the way UHD is being marketed.

Paramount uses upscales even on Ultraflix....

Star Trek: Into Darkness IMAX/65mm scenes had a 4K scan though....

Exactly, Why should Paramount create new Digital Intermediates @4K specifically for UHD Blu-ray? Won't happen
