The Skynet edition for me. It's gonna really hurt my wallet. I don't care. I'll get it and hurt lol.

8 Hours of Extra are INTERACTIVE so they count the time you play the movie over for the PIP there's there 2hours than 2 hours for the Overlay with info etc..

Just like with they say 20 hours of extra and they are like 4 commentary audio over 3 hours film.. here's 12 hours right there LOL

I just pre ordered the German Skynet Edition which DOES include the Endoskull. Apparently there will be no Ultimate Collector's Edition anywhere but the US. German set has the theatrical cut, directors cut and the Extended Special Edition using seamless branching.

Seemless branching would make sense for the US release too. A 6 disc set is ridiculous and is not at all what I was hoping would be announced from Lionsgate. This is a cheap blow by them, the price is incredibly inflated since most of the content has been available in bargain bins for years already.

Based on earlier reports, there were rumors of 1+3 being re-released as well, but those have yet to be confirmed (and if they haven't been yet I'm guessing a same day release is unlikely).

I also don't trust Lionsgate too much that is another reason why I pre ordered the Kinowelt German package knowing it will be region locked but I have the LG BH 200 so that wont be a problem.

I think I'll just go with the 29.99 version since I have The 2000 Ultimate and the 2003 Extreme DVD's + the bare bones Blu,I'll keep these for the suppliments, since it looks like ose DVD's are part of the way to expensive skull set(from what I see,It looks like the two Blus from the cheaper set and the 4 DVD's) With my 2 young nephews milling around the house,I's be picking up the pieces of the floor in less than a day,is a cool package, but not if you have "Curious George's" around!!! plus $174 or whatnot is way to damn high!!! Unless you're a diehard fan and have to get every T2 release ever made,I would think the 2 disc set will fit the bill, especially if you have one or more of the dvd sets,or the 2006 bare bone Blu!!!

I will buy this release if the consensus is that the new BD is a far superior product picture-wise and audio-wise
But I'll wait for some BOGO or another tempting deal.

I think I have already a buyer for my older T2 copy: My brother in law!

I agree with you. All I want is a single disc that has all the versions of the film that I can choose via branching. I don't need any extra DVD versions of the different cuts, or the digital copy. Why can't they just do it like what Warner did with their Blade Runner? A ***** move in my book.

Agreed, the PQ/AQ review is the final go for me purchasing the Endo skeleton edition.

This is one of two watershed films in my industry, VFX, that I am dying for a great transfer of. The second being JP.

They should include with the regular edition an empty slot space in the box, so that we can include the SE supplement disc which we all already have.

I'll def pick up the Skynet Edition if Lionsgate offers the usual AVC, 7.1 dts-HDMA specs.

I'd like to see less grain in the PQ but unfortunately I think its A - Intentional or B - super-35 transfer issue
