lol is there an easy to find the same screen in the JP files? I mostly just scanned through a few different episodes randomly looking for non-spoilery scenes.

In regards to the AMB shots... wow, they’re even worse than I thought. Looking at them plain is one thing- but comparing to the JP BD is essentially murder in how it obliterates FUNi’s compression.

With the rumours about FUNi going around, this is a dangerous trend...

FUNi is downsizing, and maybe that FUNi is taking over AoA for distribution of Aniplex titles. Again, all rumours and speculation.

Guys, haven't looked in here for so long. Can anyone give me some info about the US releases of Lu Over and Night is Short?

I remember the Anime Ltd releases had some issues, missing song subtitles on Lu/banding on Night is Short etc...

Long story short, are the US ones worth getting over the UK ones? Does Lu have the end song translated?

Well, with Aniplex having about 100 or so releases going OOP, Aniplex buying Madman (AU), and now FUNi making lots of YouTube videos about shows they don’t own but are streaming (those are owned by AoA), and Sony owning everyone now... there’s some thinking to it, but I purposefully didn’t say what the rumour was.

Here’s my thoughts. I wouldn’t be surprised if it happened... but as for if it will, that’s a big guess, so I’m gonna lean to “no”. It’s entirely possible, but I’d say it’s just paranoid people taking some facts and trying to combine it into a new story.

Funny to see the difference between the spec for the Italian edition and the French/Italian (@anime/Dynit) edition.

If I'm not mistaken the French/italian edition was also authored/encoded by Dynit (Mp3dom).
I posted screengrabs for that edition in this thread but I can't find them anymore (That's why a centralised post would be great).
Anyway huuuuge difference in bitrate between theses 2, the Italian is almost constant and have no big peak, while the french/italian is way lower in general but have multiple huge peaks (61 Mbps Oo)

No it wasn't. The two editions (italian/french) shares only the packaging but everyone made its own authoring. In the case of the italian edition, the video is not encoded by me either, it's a clone of the AoJ edition. The only video encoded by me was the tv series.
