It doesn't seem to have any at all. Looks brand new with nothing noticeable, which made me think maybe just bad disc. Unless someone else can confirm same thing in episode 4 or not.

edit: It's the disc with the new dub. I tried the original broadcast 1-7 disc and the video issue is gone.

Never had issues when I watched the series though I watched it in English with the new dub.

I watched it in Japanese with the uncut disc. Never had any issues, though I’ll check all 3 of my players (PS4, XB1S, Seiki).

Made in Mexico.... wtf? I just notice this. I don't think original print had this did it? I bought it from right stuff, but not questioning is this a legit copy? All three say made in mexico and never seen this on anime blu rays clearly advertised on box art.

[Show spoiler]
Nearly every US Blu Ray disc is manufactured in Mexico. I own plenty of titles where this is on the back of the case.

Okay, probably just bad disc then. I'll have to return it for another copy.

edit: Only second half of episode 4 seems like this and every other episode/section seems fine. Any one else have funimation blu-rays to test this part as only being issue for me?

I have the set. Bought from TRSI. No issues whatsoever on those episodes or any others.

Rightstuf NEVER sells bootlegs. All their discs come from official distribution.

If it were a bootleg, I don't imagine they would even bother putting a Made in Mexico sticker on something.

I am trying to think of the last time I bought a FUNi release new and it WASN'T made in Mexico and can't think of any.

Hello pikagreg.

Any chance anyone from FUNi got back to your on AMB? If not I may email them myself to also complain.

Thanks.

It seemed weird because of the large print/advertisement of it. I've never seen any release of any anime where it took that large of a section of case. It's usually a small logo with copy right section in the corner not a big long large print near bottom center.

It's been appearing on some Funimation releases since at least 2012, because it's printed on both my C and Lain blu-ray cases.

I wish they'd always stamp the shrinkwrap instead of the case or the slipcover.

I was talking to them on discord though I would send an email too since any little bit would probably help.

Rightstuf is sending me another copy and don't even need to send back my current. Hopefully better luck with second CE.

Wow, my prediction for the HK BD of Mirai was pretty much right on the money, seeing that the BDInfo scan reports a 25 mbps video bit rate (down from 36 mbps) and 16-bit DTS-HD MA Japanese audio (down from 24-bit LPCM).

It's really sad that Deltamac cheaped out with a BD-25 for this film when they've done much better in the past (e.g. Hosada's previous film The Boy and the Beast, Evangelion 3.33, etc.).

I've been watching The Ancient Magus' Bride and the banding is indeed obnoxious. There was one particular scene on the second disc where they showcased Chise's green coat and it was so bad I actually gagged. You can't unsee it once you've noticed it.

EDIT: 0:30:48 if anyone would like to take a screenshot, lol.

I’m not certain FUNi’s 3.33 was necessarily as piece of crap. Their 2.22 was easily better than the BD-25 HK release. As we know, they’re not always completely incompetent.
