Dragon Ball Super: Broly - Funimation

First time I've made one of these posts (apologies, NLScavenger, I'm going to steal your format a bit), so I don't have a whole lot to say. I'll let you guys decipher most of the information here, you'll make better use of it than me. For screencaps I tried to use a variety of shots, some dark, some from still shots, and some from very fast moving scenes.

The green tint that people have commented on is indeed present, though if you don't have a particularly good eye for slightly off colors, I doubt you'll notice during a normal viewing.

Lots of shots from the cuts animated by Shida, Hayashi and Umakoshi. Nice. (This Movie is a sakuga masterpiece- so much raw animation- I love it)

Wow. It’s pretty much always around 35 mbps. That is some good optimization on FUNi’s part. Those screenshots look good- don’t see many issues from what I’m looking on (an iPhone currently- not my PC monitor, so maybe it’s bad and I can’t tell because of being on mobile).

iPhones have insanely accurate screens to be fair and DCI-P3 support so it's probably one of the better phones to check for PQ. But obviously monitor is more suitable.

About the only negative thing I have to say about FUNi's BD in terms of video quality after watching it besides the green tint (which I didn't notice too well on the rewatch even though I was looking for it) was there was some banding during the darker scenes, so there's that to keep in mind.

I noticed that too when taking the screencaps. Pictures 1 and 12 have some especially noticeable banding.

Hardcore fans should probably get the UK release as well. It won't have the green tint.

Would the movie being in 24fps indicate Funi was sent the theatrical version over the home video maybe causing the green tint?

Mediainfo of the UK BD from Ajay.

TLDR: 24-bit audio unlike FUNi’s 16-bit. Has LPCM 2.0 downmixes as well also at 24-bit. 5.1 audio is in DTS HD-MA; dub has higher bitrate than FUNi’s BD, Japanese audio is about the same. Average video Bitrate is lower (29.4 mbps vs FUNi’s 33.8) but as it’s just a Mediainfo, not sure as to variability of the Bitrate and the spikes.

That's what I'm planning on doing, wasn't originally. Though I was already thinking about also getting the JP release before I learned of the green tint on FUNi's release. Just look at this, it's gorgeous. The best we got so far here is just that SteelBook.

I would get the JP set as it looks great but I am getting NT in May and got to save some for whenever HF II is released I hope August or earlier.

Also, which release by Q-TEC was an upscale (and upscale from what native res to what fake res)? I know Ashita no Joe 2 and Cobra movie looked terrible in 4K but were they upscales?

Well you can leave out the FORS part, I went to Q-TEC's site and saw lol. But yeah, you can just name the upscaled releases if you want and I'll try to find screenshots of them myself.
