I don't have my copy yet, but that waveform cap is concerning, since my masters don't look like that. Looking into this further.

OK, looks like there is a mix issue with the Japanese audio. (English appears to be as intended.) Making new discs, will have 'em in a month. Sorry for the trouble, and thanks for digging deeper on this. DM me if you want a trade-in.

Still working that out. Seems like a waste of money, but I don't want extra discs out in circulation, so I might ask for a photo of your destroyed disc with the date displayed or something. Does that sound like a reasonable plan?

If Right Stuf hasn't shipped it yet, we're having them hold on shipping more til we get the replacements out. So when you get it, check first, it might be fine.

Yeah, both the Surround and Stereo Japanese tracks are mixed incorrectly.
Stereo is dual mono and some of the channels have been merged with one another in the surround mix.

Sentai (Maiden Japan) once fixed 2 OAV Votoms - OP? I have these artifacts on the media and I wonder if this is a faulty copy or it has never been repaired.

FYI. I checked the steelbook versions of Ponyo and Howl's Moving Castle vs the regular GKIDS release. Despite the change in the disc art, the on disc contents are identical.

Despite ordering it with the Discotek June preorders they shipped my copy a couple days ago. X< If all the copies do have this problem would sending it back to Rightstuf be a better alternative to smashing it?

Nah, that’d just cost extra shipping and slow everything down. Just DM me your email address and enjoy the current version til I let you know when the new ones are ready.

i know for the Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Dark Side of Dimensions blu ray it has a new barcode sticker on the old one cause this disc has proper subs for the Japanese track instead of dubtitles

Haven't ripped the disc (I don't yet fully know how to do that and get caps), but Promare takes up A LOT of space. Also, I didn't check the movie, only the prologue shorts that weren't at the initial screenings (I skipped the Redux screening, I went to both the initial dub and sub ones which also were at the theater I work at, unlike the Redux ones), but the menu music is significantly louder than both the dubbed and subbed versions of the prologue shorts.

MakeMKV can decrypt BDs on the fly (useful for quick screenshots and normal viewing) or rip BDs for free while it's still in beta. MakeMKV's on the fly decryption for MPC-HC was recently added, can be activated via preferences>integration (also available for MPV and VLC (don't use VLC for screenshots))
