Then again, most people don’t know almost anything about proper video quality, and they’ve been getting away with it for years, so what gonna stop them now? |

Is there a MediaInfo on that m2ts available?
If someone can just send me that small segment, I can quickly investigate and tell you if the problem comes from the encoded file or the source itself. |

More Re:Zero shots courtesy of llamareborn on the AnimeUKForums (you had to be a member to view them, so I downloaded them so everyone can see).
They're off screen, yes, but they still show how terrible the release looks: ![]() ![]() ![]() How did this get past Quality Control? Oh, wait... FUNimation doesn't have any. |

Well @anime france confirmed that via PM to a member of a review site here : https://twitter.com/666dvdvore/statu...00391353999361
+ The fact that the UK use the Funimation Master, wich of course don't have any French dub or subs, and since the FR edition will have a french dub and subs it mean a completly new authoring is needed. In short it will be another "Your Name" case, the french edition is OK wile the UK/australian is atrocious. |

To me it's just mind-boggling how some people can take so little pride in their work to pass on something like that, both on the part of the compressionist, authoring house and Funimation. If it's in the master they should have rejected it and requested a proper one.

Here's another kicker, it also compares unfavorably to the CR stream... Have another one.

I asked AL about it, and they said this:

Seeing as Re:Zero is being distributed by Funi for Crunchyroll, it might be worthwhile to bring this to Crunchyroll's attention too.
How the hell did they seriously make a BD with worse compression than a stream? It's 2018, stuff like this shouldn't happen anymore especially from a long established company. |

Question is, how do we bring it to their attention?
I've called them out on Twitter by tagging them both, but to no response. I asked an anime reviewer in France I know (ViCklatereur) about it, and he's gonna review the @Anime French release, hopefully with comparisons, as he's done so in the past. That'll confirm if it's a bad master sent internationally or not. |
