Don't need to need to, 5.1 is good enough. Master audio is a total cash grab. Cinemas have been playing 5.1 Dolby Digital and DTS for two decades. People cannot tell the difference

lol, dodging the question as usual.

and no DD and DTS in the cinemas are NOT the same as their Home theater counterparts. bitrates are COMPLETELY different

the amount of juking and dodging around these questions about your setup and the codecs is insane.

Like clockwork.

We're not talking about cinema, we're talking about a home set up, what's your home set up?

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, wrong again. look at the sales stats for receivers, they are up to the highest in over a decade right now

and pretty much any modern receiver will handle the new codecs just fine.

The bit rate for Dolby Digital is actually less than what you can get in the home. This is why master audio is a TOTAL scam

Didn't you just prove that Master Audio isn't a scam because Dolby Digital has a lower bitrate than it, and you can get Master Audio in the home as a completely lossless rendition of a film or television show's audio?

Really, dude, read what you write before posting it. If your words were a gun you'd have blown off your leg by now.

Higher bit rates are meaningless, it is a total scam. Dolby digital for cinemas is fixed at 320 , it is the standard. Master audio can have as much as they want but you are not going to tell the difference

lol, there's a reason most theaters sound like total crap.... most theater's won't even have bass below 30 hz.... not because it's no use going that low but because it's not easy to control vibrations from spreading to other theater screens at that low of a frequency. So does that mean these sub 20 hz subs that we have nowadays are worthless? theater's don't have the best set ups and haven't for quite some time

It is amazing, cinemas have played compressed dd 5.1 at 320 for 23 years. All of a sudden master audio comes around and everyone gets all excited

Master audio is just a selling feature. That's it. You can't hear a difference.

I would love for you to prove this?

Keep in that some directors believe that you can mess up 2 channel and above but you can't mess up mono sound.

don't expect an answer. we've been asking him for pages and he just bobs around the question. it's obvious at this point that he's a troll. reminds me of a guy on AVS who used to stir up trouble by saying that he was an ex projectionist from the U.K. and he could remember all these little nuances that Lossless audio just couldn't replicate from the cinema etc...

I would love for you to list your equipment, as you've decided for everyone what they can and can't hear, we at least deserve the courtesy of knowing what blind tests you've done at home and on what.
