For the most part you can get more popular movies and new stuff be it DVD or blu ray.

Just don't look for TV shows and movies more than 5 years old.

i wonder if lots of stuff will start going OOP in the next few years? Time to start crossing off the wish lists asap IMO. The secondary market could get very expensive.

Why? Because online streaming and netflix and hulu is killing every thing these days.

The Physical media is dying so fast like a train running of course.
Wow thats a load of lies. I have absolutely no problem buying any Blu-Ray from amazon. Why do you come to a Blu-Ray forum to pimp streaming with lies even. Oh and Blu-Ray is up a wooping 14% already from last year in sales so more lies from you. Physical sales is over billions of dollars around the World yearly. Thats a fact!

I don' t watch any streaming or netflix or hulu.

What hell do you watch???? blockbuster movies or 4 star movie or above? Movies and TV shows not more than 10 years old?

Try getting movies and TV shows in DVD or blu ray from amazon before 2005 and 90's and 80's than come back and talk

I bet you have that "I won't buy a movie from the 80s that isn't $5 or under" mentality, because paying $15-20 for a blu-ray of a movie from the 80s or so isn't particularly unreasonable.

Also, those afraid of not being able to get all movies on blu-ray, that's part of the magic of going region free. If your favorite movie isn't on blu-ray in the US, try importing it from another country.

I have not notice any thing really costly unless it older classic movie or classic TV show from 80's and 90's and not many copies floating around on amazon.

It is older movies and TV shows more 10 years old that is pain.

Mostly older movies are dirt cheap unless it is classic and really old and not many copies floating around.

Because the production company not popping out may DVD for movie or TV show that is from 80's and 90's.

Normally as rule I buy 80's and 90's TV shows and movies in DVD from amazon. Well movies on blu-ray that are post 2005.

I can get most movies that hollywood made on blue ray that no more than 10 years old from . More than 10 years old I look for DVD not blu-ray unless I know it popular movie like Terminator or Predator.

Movies that are more popular like the The Matrix, Jurassic Park, Star wars, Terminator and Predator so on..

Which specific titles are you having trouble getting? What sort of trouble? Are they out of stock? Out of print? Prime only?

What I'm saying I can get most any hollywood movie in blue ray from amazon.

Can you get movies in blu ray from 80's and 90's or more than 10 years old sure you can. But if not popular movie like the The Matrix, Jurassic Park, Star wars, Terminator and Predator so on!! hollywood is not going spend the money remaking movie in HD.

I can get 90% of hollywood movies from 80's and 90's on DVD from amazon.

And most movies on blu ray that are no more than 10 years old.

TV show from 70's and 80's and 90's on DVD from amazon may be about 60% to 80%.

I see what you mean now. But Even when Blu-Ray first came to the market they wouldnt do unpopular movies in HD. I mean why bother. I can certainly understand them for not doing that. But that has absolutely nothing to do with streaming or digital. It has to do with people don't buy those old unpopular movies.

In fact the only movies right now i want on Blu-Ray is What Lies Beneath, six days and seven nights, True Lies, Panic Room, Abyss. And the Abyss is coming next year on Blu-Ray to big applause at comic con.

You didn't answer my question. What specific titles are you having trouble getting?

I think there's a language barrier here, because I have no idea what your issue is. Are you complaining about not enough older movies being released on BD? If so, what does that have to do with Amazon? I'm so confused...

Can you get most Movies from 80's and 90's on streaming, netflix and Hulu? Or only the popular movies?

If most older movies from the 80's and 90's and very much so older TV shows from the 80's and 90's a are not on streaming, netflix and Hulu?

May be they are just old and not popular among lot of people and hard to get because it is not popular be it amazon and streaming or digital. .

So old stuff like Miami Vice, Hill Street Blues, Adam-12, Dragnet, old Hawaii Five-0, Hunter, Charlie's Angels, NYPD Blue,Hercules, Xena: Warrior Princess ,JAG,Third Watch and T. J. Hooker.

You may have hard time on amazon and streaming or digital .

I guess the question is it easier to get older movies more than 10 years old or older TV shows more than 10 years old on streaming or digital or amazon?

What has more? streaming or digital or amazon of older movies and TV shows more than 10 years old.

I thought most of older stuff moved to streaming or digital?

But if it is very hard to get older stuff more than 10 years old on streaming or digital. May be they are just old and not popular.

Unless you've got very obscure film taste, most films made before 2005 are available on Blu Ray as of now.
