Yes they are and they are not good for you.

Drinking alcohol in excess can cause cancer and it is the same principal.

Obviously taking solvents internally has more of an effect but free radicals are real.

Isopropyl alcohol is classified as a carcinogen. As for why do a lot of people do things that follow governnent mandates that aren't exactly safe?

Well kids use to play with mercury, nuclear sources used to be thrown around, BPA you name it...

Look I am giving advice based on my experience.

Don't like it, fine. I am only the messenger.
Lots of luck gentlemen.

P.S. high levels of benzene are also in hand sanitizers. That all good too?

Default Reports that Best Buy will no longer sell steelbooks starting in 2024

https://thedigitalbits.com/columns/m...ts/101223-1100

The Digital Bits has learned from industry sources—and we’ve confirmed it with multiple sources now—that Best Buy plans to exit the physical media business for good next year, possibly as soon as the end of Q1 2024.

This includes not just their in-store Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD sales, which the retailer has been gradually phasing out for a couple of years now in their many store locations nationwide, but online sales as well. This means no more Best Buy-exclusive Steelbook titles, and no more titles from Best Buy period.

I've noticed the Blu-ray/4K Blu-ray aisle has shrunk by about half in a visit earlier today.

I did bring home today Sleepy Hollow 4K, Shrek the Third 4K, and Snow White 4K.

Amazon and Ebay will be getting even more of my biz. And I look forward to my trip to B&N early Nov. for Criterion 50% off....yay!!!

Just means amazon prices will be higher with one less store for them to price match.

If this is true and it goes through, Best Buy has lost itself a customer.

That's too bad. I will continue enjoying my physical media as long as I can though, regardless of where I have to buy it from.

Best Buy dropping online sales for physical media is genuinely idiotic, but also perfectly in line with all of the other bad bets they've made over the years. Whether going all-in on mobile phones when you can buy accessories or get service anywhere, smart fridges, or their recent announcement of wanting to enter into the healthcare space, their bets have never paid off. Gaming will be the next to go, Best Buy may still sell consoles and accessories but the same thinking about physical movies will inevitably apply to game sales since Best Buy thinks everyone is moving to digital-only. It's only a matter of time.

I'm sure Amazon and Walmart are plenty happy to absorb all of Best Buy's physical media customers. Life goes on.

Well played, best buy. I just let them know that their exclusives were the last thing keeping me shopping there.

As the kids on the internet say "top kek."

Won't miss them in the slightest.

Previous CEO set up best buy to not go down because of online sales, the subsequent and current CEO is a disaster, even after it was all set up and ready for her to coast. Win for diversity though.

I actually haven’t gone onto a Best Buy since January 2020. I would have returned but I heard that their media departments were shrinking so I didn’t bother. I see no reason to go back if this is true.

Best Buy's ticked me off lately since they've suddenly refused to ship to APO addresses. If they stop selling steelbooks altogether, it won't be any skin off my nose, I've already started shopping in other places.

Well, that effectively kills my business with them. This (physical media) is literally the only thing I use them for. When it's time to replace my tv in 10 years time, if they're still around, maybe I'll check them out. But this is the end of my shopping with them.
