But it's also true that not as many people buy physical media today in 2024 as did in 2014.

So it must also be true that they're not making as many copies of each, right?
(Instead of making 70,000 blu-rays of Movie ABC, they only make 20,000 blu-rays of Movie ABC).

They may make the print runs smaller, and reprint when necessary (as we see with Sony reprints of steelbooks that initially sold out).
