Open the Options menu from the button your remote during disc playback and there's a Picture Mode setting. That's where you select Direct, otherwise the player will be applying added DNR and processing to the image. It applies to everything, not just SDR.

It's available in HDR AND SDR BUT NOT IN DV. Anyway once you turn on. Dolby vision a warning message appears saying direct isn't available during playback

Okay, I chose to disable the auto option for 24p playback on this UHD player. I just can't get used to how unnaturally smooth some scenes of the movie appear; they don't look right to my eyes, and I made sure my TV had motion smoothing off on many facets. I'm sure keeping the TV at 60p has its own issues, but I rather take the risk if it means the movies don't have that slight of soap opera motion.

I guess I chime in got 700 4k m this afternoon set it up minus my 4k lg tv doesn't do dolby vision I got dv turn off I did turn it on didn't detect nothing
everything back to normal esp resume back on blurays and 4k's again after power outrage back on 6th I haven't play many movies on it thus no freezing or any audio drops outs, nor watch Netflix on machine yet anyways i do have 1 question do you guys just leave on under audio digital music enchancer or off i chatted with sony they say leaving it on make sound better ![]() |

funny thing I know I never used it just go on bluray player click on Netflix app umm I just click on Netflix button remote control and it telling me that the service cannot be accessed at this time
has the Netflix button always been like this on 700 4k remote control or does it supposed to work? |

it's rather strange and I don't understand why when I press Netflix remote control I get service cannot be access at this time but funny thing is I just hook up 800 4k bluay player for a test
I click on Netflix button it works so I have no clue why Netflix button on 700 remote control don't work granted I never on 800 press Netflix button then watch Netflix I just turn on player go to Netflix app watch<-yes it does work no issues it's just rather odd I just discovered this problem with remote this evening when I accidently click on Netflix button i'm not sure what is problem Netflix button don't work or what my brother bought me 700 m 4k player amazon I was one hook it up yesterday afternoon maybe Netflix button don't work 700 m model ![]() Last edited by y2jman; 02-25-2022 at 06:16 AM. |

yeah it's very odd that is saying that and I don't know granted my brother got 4k player amazon shipped to house thurs maybe remote got mess up or bad remote it did rain while it was on porch cardboard box I don't know I hope just replace remote Netflix button when press it won't say the service cannot be access at this time
surely it ain't the player because I can go into Netflix app manually bluray menu and it loads just fine it's the button that is mess up or the fact that I switch players yesterday still dumbfounded why I can access Netflix Netflix button remote control 800 if I rehook it up but 700 remote with 700 player error Last edited by y2jman; 02-25-2022 at 07:10 PM. |

https://www.sony.com/electronics/sup...d-tvs-android- but look at that saying tv doesn't say bluray player when I was in chat yesterday afternoon sony person wanted me to reset modem or router I didn't I then forgot that I didn't have netgear router anymore I got google mesh wifi routers around the house upstairs computer room both extra bedroom parents room the main wifi google mesh in my room I sure as heck not going to reset it just because the sorry Netflix button on remote saying the service cannot be access at this time prob mess things up knock everybody off wifi since used the same wifi that's crazy talk there's too many devices in the house that has Netflix besides tv's bluray players roku's my apple tv 4k do you think when I do get new remote control I guess in 2 weeks granted I call them back asked about what going on apparently somebody goof got name wrong city state zipcode but it got corrected<-I still don't know how they got info wrong 1st time I called that when I hit Netflix button on new remote control it will actually go to Netflix app instead giving me message? software already been up to date right out of the box i'm just dumbfounded why don't work I didn't know downgrade to 700 4k m when he order it from amazon weds I hook it up got everything <-still got to pay him my half back after 800 4k player got mess up back on 6th switched players got everything working when I accidently click on it by mistake the Netflix button 700 remote control mess up and I bet if I were go to next door which not because been cold last few weeks hook up 700 4k player to there house used their wifi press Netflix button it will be show same message<-now like I said I even try to used 800 remote control on 700 4k player press Netflix button nada funny thing in reverse if I used 700 remote control press Netflix button on 800 4k player it will work ![]() ![]() maybe that sony women on phone is right going warehouse to house Netflix button got broken or a defect remote control somehow along the way ![]() Last edited by y2jman; 02-26-2022 at 06:35 AM. |

so apparently sony isn't going to send me a new remote control they saying device they want me to return it however I don't know if it's necessary
even when I had 800 4k player and we know that Netflix button does work on it I had never in past click on Netflix button go to it I just open up player and go from there which I can still do on 700 basically I don't know If its waste of time turning in unit wait 7-14 days for brand new unit if I never going to press that Netflix button on remote control since i'm still going to do same thing turn on player on 700 go to Netflix watch something if I should just ignore broken button and move on that giving me error what you guys think I should do my brother thinks I never used it to watch Netflix which I always watch Netflix bluray player<-am not sure why i'm different like that since I got apple tv 4k streaming device in room but like I said I just turn on player go to Netflix app watch something |

yeah funny I just got another remote control does same thing I guess unit is faulty
![]() but I already made up my mind i'm not giving it to sony if I never going to press Netflix button remote control if i'm always turn on player watch something in app like I did in 800 unit it's stupid and waste of time doing this waiting 7-10 days get a new one back however 1st bluray player doing this and I had many blurays I guess this what happens getting something amazon if gotten at a store prob no issues still wished gotten 800 m2 oh well Last edited by y2jman; 03-02-2022 at 07:56 PM. |
