Lets hope humans continue grade movies but I will not be surprised if DaVinci Resolve 17 or 18 has provisions for “Auto” grading. IMO, a day.

for me, AI is not too worrisome for use in the final outcome - finishing colorists - of grading at the elite post shop level of the business (as in outfits like Company 3, etc.) because like with this -

but I can envision AI as possibly being an exciting and valuable application someday being implemented for data collection so as to influence content creators’ decision-making in bringing more entertaining story telling to movies by offering a way to objectively measure how audiences feel about a specific scene(s) rather than relying upon the relatively archaic method of test screenings and non-precise feedback -

kind of like in law enforcement relying upon hard evidence rather than subjective witness accounts (test screenings)
