I'm going to watch this soooo many times in 4K

I hope this sells better than everything out there too!

I wish there was an Ultimate Collectors Edition or something with every cut all 3 on 3 discs even. I'd pay 79.99 for it easily. The orig with deleted ending 2 min, and Europe cut for them not me id never watch it but maybe once, then the real 144 master...you can never have to much Shining in your life!

But hey movie fans suck... generally speaking of course.

Man I'd love to see this on the big screen, tried to sneak in twice but no luck back in the day, and we have no theaters locally that show classic re-releases

i just heard about the 4K blue ray release which will be in stores like Walmart on October 1st. Thats news to me.

the new fancy 4K blu ray release better have bonus features or else Im not going to waste my money on it just because its fancy 4K whatever

If you bothered to read any of this thread you'd see that yes, there are special features on this release.

And the 4K scan is the REASON to get the release over the decade-old Blu-ray that currently exists.

I saw the 4K scan in theatres back in May. It's f*cking stunning.

The previous blu ray isnt that frikkin old. You want decade old or whatever, then you must be thinking of the snapcase DVD of The Shining

They're still using that same tired transfer when they put it in pretty new packaging. This new 4k transfer will blow that one out of the water (heater).

Do you know how long a decade is? The Blu-ray is 12 years old, it’s more than a decade old.

Same here. Shipping label already created. In the past that meant disc gets shipped out the next day. If that’s the case, it will be delivered by Friday.
