I'm in the B'ham area and it's really nice. Feels like civilization but not huge.
Not originally from here, but I've been in the area about 12 years. Family came down here from up north over business and I tagged along.
The close proximity to Atlanta is cool too but I haven't had the chance to take advantage of that as much as I could have!

i didn't even know what the different between extended cut and theatrical cut... and how about US UHD, which cut was that?

The UHD globally is the extended (US) cut. In the UK about half an hour was edited out by Stanley Kubrick and that was the version available in the UK for decades, so that shorter version is the UK theatrical cut.

I think it was only relatively recently that the UK got an official domestic release of the longer cut, on the Premium Collection Blu-ray.

Double dip special edition and still no 4K euro cut. Sigh.

I really like the new box art though. They should have included a hard slip box with the original release like they did with the 2001 UHD and put that on it.

Still haven't bought The Shining on UHD, so I may have to pick this up. Looks neat.

Clockwork better get this treatment when it hits UHD.

And that old European cut disc looks like ass compared to the new extended Blu-ray...never mind the 4K...
