This is fabulous in 4K UHD.

I really want to get this one, as it is a classic and apparently a worthy 4K disc, but I refuse to pay what Amazon Canada wants for this. As of this morning, it's $53.XX!! WTF is happening here? Who in their right mind is paying that kind of $$ for this? It is less than half of that in the States.
I saw this scenario play out with "The Shallow" also, where Amazon.ca wanted some ridiculous amount of money for it. It had finally come down to normal pricing, but wow, I wonder who is coming up with these numbers.

That's not Amazon, it's a third party seller called Consumer Express LLC who uses Amazon to ship their items. Amazon Canada itself seems to be sold out right now. Third party sellers can set a changing price algorithm that matches/beats other listings. This once resulted in a $20,000 book about flies from two listings auto-setting to out price one another.

Items "Fulfilled by Amazon" are still Prime.

Got it on wowhd.ca in early October for 30$ everything included (along with the 10 percent coupon) but it's now up to 42. If you apply a coupon it goes to around 37$ (which is after taxes), so essentially it would be like getting this for 34 on amazon before taxes.
It also came with the beautiful slipcover, probably one of my favorite. Well worth it.

That's not Amazon, it's fulfilled by them as I said. It will say "Ships and sold by Amazon" if they're actually selling it.

I'm so glad to hear this as I picked this up on Black Friday sale.
I've seen the movie but not for while. Glad to hear it plays well in 4K UHD!

Finally finished up LOTR UHD set, and I popped this in with my Sony 800M2 set for Dolby Vision. O M G. The opening fly over/flyby scenes are jaw dropping. Pushing nearly 100 Mbps! My fiber to the home Internet is currently only 50 Mbps, lol. Lovely layer of light, sharp film grain, too. So much for getting my house cleaning chores done some time in the next couple of hours...

The Shining in 4k looks absolutely stunning!!, Hell all of the Kubrick movies
in 4k look really great, hard to believe that we are only four more films away from finishing Stanley's filmography in 4K!.
