I buy most of my 4K titles from the US, to avoid bilingual covers but I typically wait for price reductions. Pre-ordering a $29.99USD movie is pretty damn costly once you pay shipping and convert to Canadian dollars. |

Yes, it is. Hate to give the companies a whole of lot of my hard earned money for a job well done. Even if they did spend a lot of their hard earned money making it. I'm weird that way.

So, there are currently 2 known UHD disc configurations for this: US(with Spanish and French), also used by the UK; and Nordic(with German and French).
There's probably at least 1 more(Italian and Japanese), meaning it's following a similar pattern to TLJ. Odds are, it will probably be a BD-66. |

Wasn't Shazam shot on film? That would explain the larger size.

As for Endgame, I don't see them releasing this in a BD-100. Dont get me wrong, they should but: Being Disney + their disdain for the format + being a digital movie, they're gonna do it on a BD-66 <50mb bitrate incoming |

Disney's refusal to use BD-100 discs is really stupid on their part. Last Jedi could have been the ultimate reference disc for the UHD format, but them squeezing the 4K DI, Dolby Vision, shot on film (mostly), 152 minute film on a BD-66 resulted in just a 45 mbps bitrate and it looking just slightly better than the Blu-ray. Luckily Infinity War managed since it's digitally shot, but probably still could have benefited from the use of a BD-100.

This is my most anticipated release currently, surprisingly only saw it once in cinemas (first session at an IMAX) so It'll be great to watch it again and appreciate everything without being on the roller-coaster of thinking "what's going to happen next" after every scene. It's one of those "big fight feel" movies that'll seem weird to just be able to watch at home anytime after so much hype to see it the first time.

I do think that the chroma compression suffers quite badly in HDR10 but it's slightly better represented in DV despite it having a minimum enhancement layer. |
