I thought they only ship select items to Canada, and movies were not one of them. Maybe that's changed now though. I'll check it out and see what's up.

They're shipping movies at the moment.

Oh well, guess I'll just wait. I just find it weird that the Iron Man 4K and the 2 Thor 4K rereleases are up for pre-order on Amazon, but not Endgame. I guess patients is a virtue or something like that.
I absolutely detest the bilingual covers. For pre-orders, I usually go for the best buy steelbooks, they are English only 99% of the time.

I buy most of my 4K titles from the US, to avoid bilingual covers but I typically wait for price reductions. Pre-ordering a $29.99USD movie is pretty damn costly once you pay shipping and convert to Canadian dollars.

Yes, it is. Hate to give the companies a whole of lot of my hard earned money for a job well done. Even if they did spend a lot of their hard earned money making it. I'm weird that way.

So, there are currently 2 known UHD disc configurations for this: US(with Spanish and French), also used by the UK; and Nordic(with German and French).
There's probably at least 1 more(Italian and Japanese), meaning it's following a similar pattern to TLJ.
Odds are, it will probably be a BD-66.

Maybe Disney are thinking BD-66 would be fine as there isn't much of action. Nevertheless this has to be a BD-100 with proper encoding.

If it's a BD-66, the bitrate is going to be dangerously low for a UHD. Shazam is 132 minutes (50 minutes shorter than Endgame) and is using a BD-100 and 88 GB of disc space. Disney has no excuse.

Wasn't Shazam shot on film? That would explain the larger size.

Digital shot, but the disc does come with a ton of audio/subs.

Hmm, interesting, I remember seeing this in theaters and thinking it had a filmic look to it.

Aquaman & Shazam were both shot 100% Digitally (all the other DCEU Films were primarily shot on Film)

Well, I learn something new today. Thanks.

As for Endgame, I don't see them releasing this in a BD-100.
Dont get me wrong, they should but:
Being Disney + their disdain for the format + being a digital movie, they're gonna do it on a BD-66
<50mb bitrate incoming

Disney's refusal to use BD-100 discs is really stupid on their part. Last Jedi could have been the ultimate reference disc for the UHD format, but them squeezing the 4K DI, Dolby Vision, shot on film (mostly), 152 minute film on a BD-66 resulted in just a 45 mbps bitrate and it looking just slightly better than the Blu-ray. Luckily Infinity War managed since it's digitally shot, but probably still could have benefited from the use of a BD-100.

This is my most anticipated release currently, surprisingly only saw it once in cinemas (first session at an IMAX) so It'll be great to watch it again and appreciate everything without being on the roller-coaster of thinking "what's going to happen next" after every scene. It's one of those "big fight feel" movies that'll seem weird to just be able to watch at home anytime after so much hype to see it the first time.

TLJ has got loads more detail than the Blu-ray but the thin blacks, minimal HDR etc have NOTHING to do with the bitrate and EVERYTHING to do with how it was shot and finished, it looks exactly how DP Steve Yedlin wants it to look.

I do think that the chroma compression suffers quite badly in HDR10 but it's slightly better represented in DV despite it having a minimum enhancement layer.

I tried to order the 4 Steelbook set from Best Buy & it said Will ship when available. So I don’t know if it’s sold out through the website but I ended up canceling & will just pick up at the store on release day.
