If Disney didn't do a set for the Toy Story movies in 4K, there is no way they're going to do one for the Infinity Saga.

I would assume the Audio Commentary for Endgame is with The Russo Brothers & Markus & McFeely right (just like it was for The Winter Soldier, Civil War & Infinity War)

I honestly believe that the MCU and Disney has reached is cresendo and peaked already and it's going to be ugly from the fan perspective from here on out. The latest choices for Marvel and Star Wars franchises leave me feeling accurately cynical about their probable future.

I can see how that’s an issue for some. I mean they had 23 films in this whole Infinity Saga, some hits & misses but finished strong. You have to wonder how they can top this. When it comes to Star Wars I’ve never been much of a fan really but I can see the criticism it gets now being such a beloved franchise & now it’s just a cash grab for Disney.

Exactly. You can't top Infinity War and Endgame. The actors have moved on too. There's going to be a lot of spinoff and alternate reality stuff going forward. All rules are off.

If it's anything like the bonus discs that came with the Phase 1 and Phase 2 sets then it'll be a few extra featurettes for each film and some fragments of deleted scenes that didn't make it onto the original releases. Bleh.

In all honesty this franchise is now SO huge that the notion of, say, producing a new retrospective documentary for each movie is ridonkulous in this day and age. MGM did it for the Bond films, yes, but that was during the DVD boom 15 years ago when studios actually cared about making this stuff. Alls you're gonna get with some phase 3 or complete 'Infinity Saga' set is another bonus disc filled with fluff, a fancy case and maybe some other tat.

Kinda want to get the steelbook on this, but have the standard 4k releases for the other 3 Avengers. Refuse to pay Ebay prices for Infinity War... dilemmas dilemmas...

When Marvel started out, it was, 'Iron who?'. It took years for them to become the juggernaut they are now. It's the same again, they are going to have to build slowly to their next event. I'm hoping the next big bad is Galactus.

Not really a Star Wars fan, either. Sure, Empire is my second favorite film of all time but that is because it's a great movie, it just 'happens' in the Star Wars universe. After the way GoT ended you have to fear what D and D will do with Star Wars.

People love doubting the MCU at every turn and yet they keep on proving em wrong every time.

Sequel to Black Panther
Sequel to Guardians (with James Gunn, yay!)
Sequel to Doctor Strange
Plus new and exciting properties.

The demise of Marvel is greatly exaggerated.

And Spiderman 3 will probably be out before or around the same time as Guardians 3

Does anybody else agree that this film could've been tightened up a bit. For me there are scenes in here that go on for too long, or have no place in the story (Cap vs Cap), or other scenes where the pacing drags (70's military base sequence). I'd like to see a fan edit that trims the fat.

Not really, I saw this 3 times in theaters & it needed to close out some stories & then you realize why
[Show spoiler]Tony saw his father & Cap finally living the life he wanted
I mean this movie wasn’t just an Avengers movie persay, it was a dedication of an 11 year 22 movie saga. It needed the proper send off, but if you feel that way, well that’s your right.

I disagree.
I don't think the movie's pace is perfect, far from it, but I think that they were in a tricky situation. Making it shorter for me, isn't the answer. There's too much stuff going on.

But then if you make it longer, even if you add good scenes in it, you run the risk of alienating part of your audience that isn't used to seeing 3+ long hour movies.

[Show spoiler]As for the specific scenes you mentioned, yes, Cap vs Cap wasn't exactly necessary, but it kills two birds with one stone:

- Inserts an action sequence, and wether you like it or not, it's a super-hero movie, and there's always a mandatory "action break" in this type of movies, or the casual fans may find it boring.

- I like how they had 20 different possibilities of who would be fighting who, and they went with Old cap vs young Cap:
. Not only does this fight happen after Old cap leaves the elevator without needing to fight (which shows a more mature, keen side to him), it's immediatly followed by him fighting a younger, different version from him. So you get that kind of neat metaphor of him confronting someone he used to be, yada yada, character development (I could write a lot more about this, trying to keep it short)

As for the scene in the 70's, yes, it could've been shorter, but I don't think any of the Tony/Howard stuff should get cut.
This was the last chapter in Tony's life that needed closure: his relationship with his father.
To make sure that when he died, he had "no regrets", or nothing left to say to anyone in his life.
Also, it's important to keep the scene where Steve sees Peggy, so, altough I'm agreeing it could be shorter, I don't know what I would cut.

When are we supposed to stop using them? I'm Genuinely asking.
The movie already left theaters. Is it fair game only when it releases releases on BD or it's always spoilers? Cuz by now, its everywhere.

EDIT: Added the spoiler tag on the other post.
