The picture alone deserves it's own thread!

Clint Eastwood both directs and stars as a Korean war veteran named Walt Kowalski. Best of all if the movie’s first poster is any indication, Walt Kowalski is really pissed off. It’s good when Eastwood plays pissed off. It seems Kowalski is a racist harassed by punk kids in his Detroit neighborhood, punk kids who have their eye on his prize possession: a classic car.

The first trailer for Gran Torino is due to hit theaters this weekend, in front of Changeling.

Wouldn't it be interesting to team up Clint Eastwood with Tarantino. It would be interesting to see the result.

That teaser poster is indeed making this "punk feel lucky", as well as "making my day!" (sorry). It's been awhile since I've been excited about an Eastwood flick. It appears that Clint is following in the footsteps of Sly & Harrison -- and that's not a bad thing, in this case.

This is super cool. I miss the days of a angry Eastwood. Take me back to the Dirty Harry, Rookie, Heartbreak Ridge Days. Can't wait for an actual trailer!!!!

This movie is starting to garner Oscar buzz for Eastwood. Check out the two new TV spots. It's opening limited Dec 12 to be eligible for Oscar Consideration.

BRILLIANT ****ING FILM. Clint is the man in this. There is a lot going on the in the movie and nothing happens the way you would expect. I kind of think this is Clint's personal feelings on the current PC state of affairs in the world.

Everyone should watch this. It's kind of like Crash but if it was made by a ****ing bad*** mutha****er.

I had heard early that there would be Oscar buzz for this but that's died down a bit lately. I'd love to see Clint get a nomination

I just read that over the weekend Gran Torino blew everyone out of the water with a Per Theater Average of $46,250!

That's over $277k for the six screens it's being shown on!

He pulled off yet another example of why he's my favorite actor/director. I have a special clint eastwood section in my movie library.
