And from the title of this thread, I thought Paramount might have announced Transformers.

No Star Wars on Blu-ray or HD-DVD What's New
By Henning Molbaek
FIRST ONLINE May 21, 2007

Lucasfilm comments on speculation about HD versions of Star Wars on disc.

Recent listings on Amazon has sparked debates on various online communities including our own message board.

PC World contacted LucasFilm to ask them about their HD plans.

John Singh, spokesperson for Lucasfilm Ltd. said, "Lucasfilm Ltd. has no plans to release any of the Star Wars movies on Blu-ray or HD DVD. Listings on Amazon.com or any other Web site are purely speculative and erroneous."

"This all could find about Stars Wars! Sorry mang. You're gonna have to wait on the realease date. I project about 2 to 3 years."

May 21 2007? Good times.
But the joke was more a push to the thousands of threads about star wars instead of the thread that is stickied about Star Wars and Lord of the Rings.

Damn, I thought that was closer!

No really, look at the title of this thread, I really thought there was already an official announcement or something.

Please replace the exclamation marks with question marks, this is misleading and frustrating.
