Triple Frontier- Kathryn Bigelow

Oscar winner Kathryn Bigelow reportedly has her eye on Will Smith to star in her next film, Triple Frontier.

According to TheWrap, "Bigelow has met with Will Smith" regarding the project, an organized crime thriller set in the dangerous borderlands between Paraguay, Argentina and Brazil. Mark Boal, the reporter-turned-screenwriter who penned Bigelow's Oscar-winning The Hurt Locker, scripted.

The pic, Bigelow's first feature since Hurt Locker, has previously been described as a "high stakes ensemble project." The film could begin production by December or January.

Other actors reportedly being eyed for Triple Frontier include Oscar winners Sean Penn and Javier Bardem, as well as The Dark Knight himself, Christian Bale.

It should be noted, however, that the alleged internal email TheWrap uses as its source "is not a Paramount document," according to a Paramount spokesman. "It has some correct information and some inaccurrate information."

This sounds like the type of film Will Smith should get back to. He is a great actor and does very well with films like this, Enemy of the State for example.
Not a fan of Penn and the size of his role will determine whether I see it or not.
