One or two of the Barcelona arguably fell over very easily (but remember Arsenal were awarded a very light penalty last week) but I don't think it's fair to accuse Messi of it. At 22 years old, he's quite simply the best player in the world (by a country mile) and is on fire at the moment, I don't think any defence could handle him right now. It's not a word I use lightly about sportspeople, but the lad is a genius. |

I dunno, something about the bangs. And, yeah, that chip over the goalie was... sick. Sadly, it really was my first whistle-to-whistle match in 2010 for watching the boys, and, man, it was ugly. Messi at least is taking time away from Rooney (who also I kinda hate, as he looks like a bad guy from Dick Tracey), and the superVag Ronaldo. I miss Zidane, and on the Arses I miss Henry doing his little magic - even with a flagrant handballs in quali games he comes across as a guy worth watching. It's sad to think of him on the bench watching this 22 year old phenom with Blagojevitch hair take all the thunder. Fabregas getting hurt sure sucked for our boys, in the end. And good ol' Zidane? Well, that's a whole 'nother thing, head butt aside.... |

Whereas, “Alice” from the get-go was always intended to be shot in native 3D; however, the filmmakers concluded after shooting tests with the Fusion 3-D cameras (AVATAR) that they didn’t have the time or funding to incorporate the infrastructure needed for a high-end native 3D production. But, the Fusion 3-D tests enabled them to think ‘in 3D’ for all their shots from the original conceptual stage. This ‘thinking’ was later incorporated into the post work on “Alice” which was essentially 4 years of work compressed into 2 years. American Cinematographer should be coming out with a detailed article about the principal photography and post production of “Alice” in their April issue. I’m not sure if the issue has been mailed yet to subscribers but, keep an eye out for it. My question is, when “Clash” comes out on Blu-ray in 2D, will the reviewer (for Blu-ray.com) get permission to post screenshots, if some other boards haven’t already bashed the hell out it before it streets? |

Sorry, no offence intended, I honestly thought "oi" was an acceptable spelling too.

![]() You didn't exactly pick an ideal game to be your first one to watch this year though, for an Arsenal fan. ![]() I always like Henry too, but I hardly feel sorry for him, it think he's happy where he is. He moved to Barcelona at the end of his career, and he's won league titles and a Champions League, and I'm sure he's being handsomely rewarded financially too. Hey, I even forgave him for *that* handball, and it only took a couple of days. ![]() |

I didn't know he (Fabregas) was hurt? I thought he picked up a bogus 2nd yellow card in the previous game. And he wasn't the only guy that we missed, how 'bout the little guy with the BIG foot?

![]() Cesc Leg Break Re:American Cinematographer; is it worth a read for an amateur, or would I be way out of my depth? I just check their website and there's a six month trial for $15 that appears to offer *free* shipping to me 6000 mile away ![]() |

![]() Remember shark, as I mentioned before, I don’t turn the other cheek to anyone, much less kneel and bow to a studio, any studio, that selectively tampers with reviewers visa-vie their illustrative aids as retribution for the faults of others, namely ‘the usual suspects’ from other forums, as Jeff refers to them. Heck, Ken’s screenshots, per se aren’t even damning to the work that was done on FOTR....it’s those Blu-ray vs. HDTV mpeg-2 comparisons on other boards posted by what essentially are their ‘official reviewers’ by proxy and are whole-heartedly allowed by the administration or ownership of those other forums/boards. If anything, WB owes an apology to Ken Brown and Blu-ray.com for their poor judgment in this matter which overwhelms in importance any real or perceived picture quality of FOTR…..which is almost secondary at this point. Decisions like that make all studios look bad, just like decisions to do 2D to 3D conversions...and going directly against the Director’s wishes in that regard and resulting in less than optimally perceived 3D products distributed onto the marketplace.. http://www.ugo.com/movies/clash-of-the-titans-3d-stinks Last edited by Penton-Man; 04-09-2010 at 12:31 AM. |

horse, I think some things you may struggle with, like for instance anything about lighting, other things I think you should have no trouble with reading and understand.....plus, that trial price seems like a real bargain to me.
