And let me know if you plan to try out the stuff at the Playstation HQ on the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica, - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBXZAkiLNvs

Some inside fun - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KChBGDzd8sY
Cause, for when you’re not checkin out the hotties and plan to engage in some of the Playstation Move offerings, I’ll be sure to bring my vuvuzela to help you concentrate, as I am a “true” vuvuzela fan.
I haven't been to Santa Monica in quite a while...

I do have a PS Move (2 of them) though!

How about those Giants? Damn, this is a great feeling.

The last time a team I followed won the championship was the 1994 49ers....seems like a lifetime ago.

You like the view of the mountains rather than the ocean?

With the help of a blogger named Mary, I can do that too…….

I’ve got multiple in-laws who live in Millbrae and San Francisco proper who, one-after-another have been calling us all evening long expressing their exuberance!
A couple of which are my nieces who have a crush on Tim Lincecum.

Hello mr penton

Quick question , I just watched bridge on the river Kwai
And I must say looks stunning ...

Seeing as Sony have also fully restored from here to eternity
What are the chances of seeing a blu-ray in 2011
I can't imagine Sony undergoing such a restoration without
Making some money on a blu-ray release also

Is there any chance of seeing this title or on the waterfront around the Oscar season ?

Best regards
Jon

Dear Penton Man,
I am an associate director in a production company. Our house has produced over 10 films(Bengali). We wanted to keep our work in blu-ray format. We have a FCP 5 with a blu-ray writer and I am quite friendly with Adobe Encore. But my main problem is with the codec. While exporting the movie from the timeline I need to know which codec I should use to get the best output. Our films are mostly shot in a P2 camera with 1920X1080 resolution. We dump it with Apple Prores HQ. Please help me because I am not getting any concrete answer from anybody.

Godspeed

Priyam Biswas.

I've got a spare room to whoever take first dibs:

Press release from TIFF's Lightbox (our replacement cinemateque):

"Special Presentations
Starting on December 9, three cinematic masterpieces — Stanley Kubrrick's science-fiction landmark 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968), Jacques Tati's comedy classic Playtime (1967) and David Lean's epic desert adventure Lawrence of Arabia (1962) — will be presented in their original 70mm format, offering audiences the unique opportunity to experience the breathtaking clarity and dramatic impact that have made this format the most visually spectacular widescreen process ever devised. A brand new print of 2001: A Space Odyssey will begin its exclusive engagement on December 9 with an introduction by visual effects wizard Douglas Trumbull."
