That could work. But what if the original system is still in place? Flynn helped to free the original system and ported over TRON into his private server. We never know if TRON recalls anything from the old world except that he still fights for the Users.

It raises the question, is Dillinger's son (the big lipped Cillian Murphy) the new MCP of that grid?

So I saw it on Imax and while I liked it I wasn't overly impressed with the 3D.....however there's been a number on here saying it's the best they've ever seen.

Well I noticed at a brand new theatre in town that it's playing on a screen with a new technology called - UltraAVX - which is supposed to be awesome for 3D.

Maybe that's why there's been the differing opinions on the 3D quality on here???

I saw it in IMAX 3D and really was underwhelmed by the use of the 3D. Not that I really like the gimmicky 3D at all, but I honestly kind of forgot I was watching it in 3D.

The best use of 3D I've seen so far is still Jackass 3D.

I watched this last night and I have to agree that the 3D was underwhelming. However, the movie itself was fantastic! It was probably the funnest movie I've seen in some time, and the use of CGI was very nearly perfect

I guess I expected a bit more in the way of dramatic tension. I think that maybe there was a casting or writing problem with Flynn's son. I really didn't feel much of the connection between father and son that would lead me to believe that these characters would take action the way they did.

Jeff Bridges was excellent though, despite what everyone is saying. His character would have become less human and more program-like over 20 years without human, emotion based, interaction. Taking his characters extended stay on the grid, it is reasonable to assume he lost some of his humanity. That would explain why his dialogue was written to be so simple. The character in the original was a lot of fun to watch, but he's changed drastically over the years.

Especially when you calculate how long he had been there in terms of the time he felt whilst in the grid is around 270,000 years.

And this was the happy word I received today on the Grapevine of Industry Insiders. TRON LEGACY, a film that many people loved, and a lot of people wanted more from, and that a very vocal minority incessantly ***** about... is getting close, incredibly close to having its SEQUEL announced!

As TRON LEGACY is set to cross $300 million worldwide, the film has proved, beyond a doubt that there is an audience that buys this science fiction fantasy. And as DAFT PUNK's blisteringly awesome TRON LEGACY score continues to power the geek work force of the nation to plow through mindnumbing task after task... Disney is beginning to realize, TRON could be a franchise.

As kids around the country pulled out wall crawling light trail leaving Tron LIGHT CYCLES from under their Christmas trees, Disney has been counting the receipts - and I'm told... it's about to hit the tipping point.

Now the real question is... Where does TRON go from here? There is a plan, but it is being closely guarded. There's a TV show in the works to keep the brand popping till the next Theatrical run, but it looks like us TRON geeks won't be having to sit around for 28 years hanging onto this last one, like we did the first one.

I just want glowing TRON shoes in Adult sizes. Yeah, I'm crazy that way. I have had the old Adidas TRON shoes long before TRON LEGACY was announced as happening, and my Hallmark TRON ornament desperately wants a glowy RECOGNIZER ornament next year!

So... if you've been stalling revisiting the game grid again, after watching THE GREEN HORNET this weekend, take another trip.

It was just a test that they showed at comic con and was never intended to be part of the final film.
