It'll be Avatar for the 80's cyber geek as well, and for once, that's not an insult to Avatar.
(If it's all about hype and 3-D a year ahead of time, this one delivers.)

In their continuing attempt to spill the entire film on their websites, the Disney.com movie website is up, letting you "ride" virtual cycles between sections.

But also pointing toward Tron Games Online, where at the moment, you can only play two of the five games for bonus points--One of them being a cool racing game based on the next-generation lightcycle chase, and the other....the original Tron arcade game for your desktop browser.

I just saw the trailer for this when I watched Prince of Persia.

I absolutely love that it has an updated look but keeps the same feel of the old movie.

It seems like it is the same...but...better.

I think it will be a nice addition and it doesn't seem like a boring rehash or a reboot.

I'm actually a little excited.

Just picked up mine a minute ago. Can't wait.

Between this, the Rifftrax screening of House on Haunted Hill and preview screening of Saw 3D, this is gonna be one seriously busy day for watching movies.

Just got my tickets for the IMAX sneak peak. I didnt realize that there was two theatres near me showing this. I accidently chose the one closest to me. Theres another IMAX like another 10 minutes away from the one I chose and it has a bigger screen and nicer seats. Should have signed up for that one.

Oh well, a free 20 minutes is fine by me.

Why did I not know of this? I didn't hear it on any movie sites, like they did for Avatar day.... It's sold out near me, but if I really want to go I can travel a little over an hour to go to a theatre that isn't sold out.... Not sure... When did this start up?

Ticket give away started today at 1:00. The theatre I'm going to is already sold out too. You can always show up and get in the 'stand-by' line. I don't know if I'd travel an hour for just 20 minuets.

There's a standby line? Are you sure?

Well, I can't really say for sure, each location might be different. It is on my printed ticket:

Quote:
To ensure getting your seats, YOU MUST BE IN LINE with a print out of this ticket and valid photo identification -at least ONE HOUR PRIOR TO SHOWTIME.

Once your ticket and ID have been checked against the theatre’s list for verification, you will be given a wristband for you and your guest for entry.

IF YOU ARE NOT IN LINE AN HOUR BEFORE SHOWTIME YOUR SEATS WILL BE GIVEN AWAY TO GUESTS WAITING IN THE STANDBY LINE.

Each theater will have a separate standby line for fans who missed getting tickets through the website. Waiting in the standby line does not guarantee entry in any way. The number of standby seats at each theater will depend on the number of unclaimed seats one hour prior to showtime.

Cool TRON-like lights for work and play.

I tried it briefly. The second level Lightcycles have jazzed up graphics. If the original arcade game looked like that it would have stood the test of time much better. Still a fun game.

Check these out...http://www.lifegearcompany.com/glowsticks/index.html

I just picked up four from Staples. Two in blue, and two in red. Tron colors, naturally. These will look great in my display shelf. Also a nice thing to have the night of the movie. Walking in glowing red or blue and shouting, "Greetings, programs!" to all the fans.
