Still, the movie as is, seen flat on a display that is flat up to the 1080 limit, the BD looks twice as good as the average theatrical presentation. |

Hey PM
It took 2 - 3 years before we saw our first tv show on dvd how long do you think we'll have to wait to see studio wide support for tv shows? |

They liked the effect and deliberately turned the knob to 11. (Why does this remind me of some other recent discussions here...) |

You're probably looking at at least 2010 before every new show is hitting Blu and more than a trickle of catalog titles are coming out |

We can change subtitle color with font based subs, but this does not work well on all players so we are only experimenting with it. I will pass along the fact that this did not work well on Persepolis. It’s off to France for me and my better half to hopefully watch an Aussie (former mountain biker turned roadie) win Le Tour. then to………. Where Eagles Dare……….the Austrian Alps. I hope the mods/insiders here have a pleasant and productive meeting in San Diego and Ice……….The Del is zee best! ![]() |

I wish they released the old TV shows at a premium price then lower it when the user base increases. I'd be willing to pay that premium.

Hey, I'm surprised nobody posted this yet. With regard to shooting a feature film in IMAX, here's an overview of how just the action sequences in The Dark Knight impacted the VFX workflow, etc.

seeing alot of talk/flak about DNR and some BD titles.
But do guys realise that rise of the silver surfer had DNR applied to the BR encode. still a very sharp/detailed transfer so it can be done correctly. |
