Watched it on IMAX tonight and was disappointed by the 3D effects; nothing like Avatar. The story is simple and predictable. The good thing, however, is the soundtrack. Overall, I give it 3/5.

Yes I agree, I was hoping that they would show up in Legacy but oh well. They also should have brought out updated version of the tanks.

They're probably saving that for the next sequel. Judging by the box-office numbers, I'm not sure that it will happen.

It'll happen. Disney has too much invested in this would-be franchise. Between international box office, merchandising out the yin yang, and home video sales, it'll make a profit...

I mean, they have an animated mini-series debuting next summer. That's followed by the actual animated tv-series in Summer 2012...

I went in with lowered expectations in light of the mixed reactions but came out hating this. Thought it was the worst studio released product since Knowing. Howlingly awful character work throughout and the endless backstory dragged the narrative down. For the first 30 minutes I was sort of with it, and the Clu character was interesting from a visual perspective, but by an hour I was wondering what I was going to have for tea and during the last act I was begging for it to end. At least the slightly sexist, xenophobic overtones brought a few giggles! As did the dialogue by the last act, which was rather daytime soap.

This film was shocking.

Are you serial??? they are planning a whole series and animation? That's the first I heard of that.

This film was shocking.

The film wasn't the greatest but it's still a worthy Blu-ray purchase when it comes out and very demo worthy. Recognizers were very base heavy.

i dont have to read my own review, because my review didnt trash anything.. ive trashed movies before and i hardly call this anything but my honest opinion. saying this movie is average is trashing? interesting, if i used the word decent would that be trashing as well?
you should look up the word trashing, and also check out the stars people gave this movie.. apparently you "lovers" out there are all on the same page, excluding a few that gave it 3 stars which i will point out is still a rating higher then "average"

If you had a Chloe avatar from one of her movies i.e. Hit girl picture of LMI picture i wouldnt have thought twice about it.. but you had a picture that she uses for her twitter homepage that was obvioulsy taken from her hotel room or bed room and u used it as yours then altered the color.. I found that a little creepy ya know.. but no harm intended.. back to TRON

Well I enjoyed it. I rated it a 4/5 for even happening which is a bit of a miracle. It really was a fun movie and an excellent sequel to the original. In a lot of ways superior to the original in fact. Sure there were parts that were predictable but, then again that too was predictable. The acting was great all around, superb. The special effects were hit and miss, but many more hits than misses. I thought that the CG Jeff Bridges was amazingly done. Looking forward to seeing where this ability in film takes us.

The best thing about this movie was the music and was its saving grace. Amazing throughout and well placed. It alone gained the film a 4/5 rating. Music like this needs to be in more movies and I hope Daft Punk gets more work due to this.

The worst thing about the movie was the 3D. It sucked ... hard.

The end did make me want to see a sequel to it ... that too is a huge plus for this film. It left me wanting more.

[Show spoiler]Regarding the bits... They did make a cameo, the were on the fireplace mantel in Flynn's house.
I was also surprised the tanks were not updated much, the exterior design was just tweaked slightly. - If you missed it, a lone tank went strolling by on a street when Sam was sneaking around.

That's the type of sequel setup I like: there's an established seed, but you aren't making it a blatant sequel bait. The movie is still self-contained. It's lpart of the reason I hated District 9 so much.

If there is another sequel, David Warner has to be in it.

Tron Legacy: IMAX 3D – my mind is blown. I got to go to a private IMAX 3D theatre that only shows screenings once or twice a month to IMAX family and friends. The theatre does these screenings at 10:30am so that the other cinemas are closed, the theatre is calibrated each time before a screening for audio and video levels. WOW! Sunday set a new reference standard for audio in a cinema, previously held by the old Uptown Cinema in Toronto watching The Fifth Element in THX-certified 7.1 Sony Dynamic Digital Sound (SDDS). It wasn’t even close. This screen absolutely obliterated any other aural experience I’ve had at the cinema. I wish everyone could experience this just once. The screen itself was absolutely perfect, because it’s not opened up to idiots on Friday night that want to throw pop and wet toilet paper at the screen. Blemish-free, perfect focus, I am superlative-challenged when it comes to describing this cinema. I hope I get to go again some day. (Oh yeah, Tron Legacy is MUCH better than the critics are claiming, thoroughly enjoyable, amazing 3D effects, I rated it 4 stars)

im probably just as much as a fan as he is i wont deny that, like i stated before. however im just not putting pics of a 13 year old girl chillin in her bedroom posing for her fans as my avatar..

and i only created twitter to chat with celebs and athletes, some write back some dont. Chloe, Ochocinco, Elizabeth Banks, A few radio stations, Mike Thomas, Mike Mitchell, Matt Reeves, just a few off hand all havfe responded back to me, i know what all their twitter default pics look like, its not hard to remember that
