Hey Penton...not sure if you have read this, but it is good information on the work that was done for the new HD masters for the LOTR Blu-ray release.

...even if you’ve seen them broadcast, the Blu-rays are actually newer masters that were approved by Peter and his director of photography...

Just a thought, doesn't it scare you when nobody knows what effect prolonged exposure to artifical 3D will have?

I have a feeling that tricking your brain for a long period of time can't be good, also I got a headache, strained eyes and a mild discomforting feeling from watching Ice Age 3D, usually I listen to my body.
So I don't think I'll ever get into the whole 3D thing.

I'd worry more about volcanoes if I were you.

Plus, cummon, 4 seasons is simply the (nicer) top floor at Mandalay Bay, he's GOT to walk past the hoi poloi on his way to, well, anywhere... Get your ninjas out there with their anti-coyote t-shirts (say, "I'M A WATCHMEN WHO HATES COYOTES", they'll blend in with the general lots of anti-immigration idiots, when really they're comic book nerds who want to uncover Penton).

Plus, how fitting would it be to unmask Penton beside the most decrepid Pyramid in history! Hell, they could make a Nicky Coppola film about that and still half of America would go see it.

But, I digress.

Crystal, if you're ever booking for yourself, I highly recommend the MGM Signature - it's behind the Casino, basically multimillion dollar suites that get rented out as Hotels. That way you get the relaxing time in your hotel, with a much more private pool, and still a 30 second walk to the strip.

And by strip, I mean, well, you know...

Or, well, you could get yourself comped at Bellagio.

Jeff get on top of that.

This is your best opportunity yet to smoke out Penton.

Queue Mission Impossible theme.

my agent in Vegas had to be at work at 8am sharp or Steve Jobs will beat him. It's too bad cause I spent half an hour creating the Vegas society for preservation of coyote habitats

Thanks for alerting not only Penton but Crystal tho

I think I know who Penton is. Look at the employee directory of Sony Pictures and the name Dean Hotop comes up as the head of the Athletic Club: http://www.sonypicturesstudios.com/c...directory.html

I dunno, I still think it's this Larry Perkins guy...

http://www.pentonusa.org/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=621

But would Penton really hide out in a Penton-based forum and call himself Pentonman?

The mind reels.

I was a witness to all the AVS red madness back in the day. Robert certainly championed his cause and I'm sure, at least for a time, it helped him move a few more units. I chose to wait out the format war and I'm glad I did.

I have had business transactions and have spoken personally to Robert Zohn and his wife. My Onkyo receiver in my sig was purchased from his store. The 1st one shipped to me was bashed to pieces by FedEx and he took care of me and offered outstanding service. I would most certainly do business with him again.

Do I condone some of FUD he put forth for a time? Not at all, but one has nothing to do with the other. Time to let it go people. Best tech won. Be happy.

That's a completely different 3D experience.

It was still unethical and dishonest.

That FUD kept the format war going on far longer than it should, and by your own admission you didn't purchase until it was over.

Unrelated but since a lot of tech people float by here:

If anyone in the LA area has access to audio mastering equipment/studio who might be willing to lend an hour or so of their time, please PM me
