For anybody who's seen both, does My Cousin Rachel have some similarities with Dragonwyck? Are they close as far as quality goes?

That's one of the ones I'm eyeing for a potential SAE order in the near future.

Personally I enjoy Rachel more. Dragonwyck has been compared to Rebecca more so than Rachel. I have only seen Dragonwyck once but I liked it. It wasnt what I thought it was going to be, but it was still good. It started off with a strong setup, and kind of went in an unexpected direction with the plot. I would pickup Dragonwyck if I were you. I just might take my own advice.

I think Rachel is the better of the two, but they're both worthwhile. Rachel is a film that works perfectly from a first viewing while Dragonwyck worked better on a second viewing because with that cast and synopsis it's hard not to expect something different going in: second time around you appreciate it for what it actually is.

Already own it, hence my interest in Rachel

Appreciate the insight thus far, I'll keep an even keener eye out for it at SAE.

Certianly do that! I find it sad Rachel was never before on disc TT's edition. I wonder why?

My Cousin Rachel and Hitchcock's Rebecca and Jamaica Inn are all based on novels by Daphne du Maurier, and set in her beloved Cornwall. All three films make a point of featuring the rugged Cornwall coast, and are great companion pieces.

Have you seen The Snake Pit before? I saw it the first time when I was 12 or 13 years old, and it scared the heck out of me. Olivia's performance is a tour de force. I personally believe it was the highlight of her distinguished and fabled career.
Just love her work in that. Absolutely one of her three greatest performances.
The DVD was a blind buy a few years ago. Looked pretty solid, but I'll happily retire it.

Since my order for Snake in the Eagle's Shadow/Drunken Master got cancelled from TT, I ordered that, Rapid Fire and Hell and Highwater from SAE.

That now leaves me 4 out of 5 items ordered from May 10th sold out on TT. And the order still shows awaiting shipment.

I'm getting nervous but I've got my fingers crossed.

Has anyone who ordered Whirlpool, The Boston Strangler, or La bambola di satana from TT had their orders ship, or gotten cancellations? I ordered these three early on May 11, and they are still awaiting shipment, but I've gotten no notice of any cancellations—I'm wondering if anyone else has gotten cancellations on these titles.

Whirlpool was in my order from 5/10 and not cancelled so far. Not shipped yet so I’m hoping to get it. I did have The Gang’s All Here cancelled, which was disappointing, but one out of 20+ titles isn’t so bad. The majority are out of stock on both TT and SAE, so I’ll be bummed if they only ship the five or so still in stock.

As a newcomer/latecomer, I decided to do a bit of counting and cataloging...

The studios page on this site indicates there are 401 TT "titles"... once you go to the actual TT listings, there are 400.

And then out of those 400 listed in the database, I count these various extra entries...

6 Encore Editions:
- Big Heat, The
- Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia
- Mysterious Island
- Rollerball
- Thunderbolt and Lightfoot
- Train, The

2 Other Re-releases:
- Fright Night (30th)
- Journey to the Center of the Earth (Remastered)

4 Signed Releases:
- 10 to Midnight
- Christine
- Harlock: Space Pirate 3D
- U Turn

10 Extra Entries in addition to release entries, due to 2/release:
- Huckleberry Finn
- Tom Sawyer
- Drunken Master
- Snake in the Eagle's Shadow
- Raining Stone
- Riff-Raff
- Support Your Local Gunfighter
- Support Your Local Sheriff
- Thunderbird 6
- Thunderbirds Are Go

4 Unreleased Entries:
- Alien Nation
- Breakout
- Centennial Summer
- Iron Horse, The

Doing the math on the variant releases and extra entries, that makes 374 films and 382 releases in the TT catalog.

So apparently there are more signed TT releases than those listed in this site's database. Here's the list so far...

- 10 Rillington Place (Judy Geeson)
- 10 to Midnight (Pancho Kohner and John Crowther)
- April Love (Shirley Jones)

- Blob, The
- Brannigan (Judy Geeson)
- Breaking Away
- Bring Me THe Head of Alfred Garcia
- Broken Lance
- Buddy Holly Story, The (Steve Rash)
- Cat Ballou
- Che! (Lalo Schifrin)
- Christine (Keith Gordon)
- Disappearance, The
- Doctor Dolittle
- Driver, The
- Fabulous Baker Boys, The
- Fantasticks, The
- Fate is the Hunter
- Fright Night
- Fright Night (30th)
- Front, The (Andrea Marcovicci)
- Hard Time
- Harlock: Space Pirate 3D (Shinji Aramaki, Yoshi Ikezawa, and Joseph Chou)
- Heaven & Earth (Oliver Stone)
- I Could Go On Singing
- Incident, The
- Journey To The Centre Of The Earth (Diane Baker)
- Journey To The Centre Of The Earth (Pat Boone)
- La Bamba (Lou Diamond Phillips)
- Mindwarp
- Murphy's Law
- Murphy's Law (Angel Tompkins)
- Only Game in Town, The
- Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, The (Pamela Franklin)
- Royal Flash (Malcolm McDowell)
- Runaway Train

- Summer Lovers
- To Sir, With Love (Judy Geeson)
- U Turn

As well as other unreleased titles not in this site's database:

- Fallen Angel (waiting on remaster)
- Whirlpool remaster
- The Lion in Winter (master below par, went to Kino)

Thanks to all who contributed info!

There should be 382 releases counting the 8 items with 2nd releases
I'd have to go through the complete list to see if there's anything missing though I think you're miscounting something

There are also several more signed items than what are listed.

Your list is also missing BREAKOUT which was never released by TT

There are 400 listings

374 Titles + 8 re-releases

4 signed items
10 to Midnight (Signed by Pancho Kohner and John Crowther) (1983)
Christine (Signed by Keith Gordon) (1983)
Harlock: Space Pirate 3D (宇宙海賊キャプテンハーロック / Kyaputen Hârokku / Signed by Shinji Aramaki, Yoshi Ikezawa, and Joseph Chou) (2013)
U Turn (Signed by Oliver Stone) (1997)

4 Never Released
Alien Nation (1988)
Centennial Summer (1946)
The Iron Horse (Limited Edition to 3000) (1924)
Breakout (1975)

10 items that are extra parts of double releases
Riff-Raff (1991)
Raining Stones (1993)

Huckleberry Finn (1974)
Tom Sawyer (1973)

Drunken Master (Zui quan) (1978)
Snake in the Eagle's Shadow (Se ying diu sau) (1978)

Support Your Local Sheriff (1969)
Support Your Local Gunfighter (1971)

Thunderbird 6 (1968)
Thunderbirds Are Go (1966)

so all 400 accounted for

Thanks for taking the time to review what I wrote! I was going page by page through the listings, and missed the things that you pointed out. I updated my post with your corrections.

I believe Fallen Angel can be added to the never released list - that and Whirlpool were waiting on remasters that were cancelled (Whirlpool got released from an old master).

There was also The Lion in Winter, which they dropped because the MGM master was below par, but that got traded with Kino.

Not quite....I have a Twilight Time copy of The Buddy Holly Story which was signed by the director Steve Rash, so that one is missing from the signed editions list.

I was going from this site's listings, and while listed as exclusive to SAE, I didn't find any information about a signed release. If you or someone else can provide more details (was it advertised as a signed edition? was it bought directly from SAE or from somewhere else?), then I guess it could be added to this site's listings.

Mostly I was wanting to learn the total count of releases and films compared to the total in the database, by subtracting the database's extra listings such as the signed listings (about which very little information seems to be listed) and the extra entries for films released in 2-packs.
