I don't see anything either.
I see only a UPC and a code, that's why I found it funny that you had many posts with only the UPC codes.

I'm using Chrome as well and all I get is a broken image box. But when I right click and open the image in its own tab, it renders fine. So I'm guessing it's not the filehost, but something about the code for rendering it.

Edit: and now that I've rendered one of them in a separate window, when I refreshed this page, a bunch (not all) of them rendered.

I just changed over the images to photobucket, do these render fine?

Cowboy was directed by Delmer Daves?

Oh well...

That whole fiscal responsibility thing was fun while it lasted.

Yeah, I thought the same thing when I saw who directed it. Delmer Daves = must buy.

It also stars Glenn Ford. Reunited star and director from 3:10 to Yuma. Daves' original version of 3:10 to Yuma just blew me away the first time I saw it when Criterion released it.

Edit: Almost forgot......Ford and Daves were also together for the film Jubal, another magnificent western released by Criterion. I have never seen Cowboy, but the combination of Ford and Daves in another western collaboration makes me even more stoked to get it.

Exactly. Jubal is one of the most underrated Criterion Collection titles, in my opinion, so Cowboy is a definite purchase just on that logic.

Yeah, I think Twilight Time confirmed it was coming in reply to someone on their Facebook group. I don't have any more details though.

I always confuse Eye of the Needle with The Eagle Has Landed. Both feature Donald Sutherland as a WWII baddie. The latter is on blu via Shout.

I like Cowboy a lot, but don't expect anything as heavy as Jubal or 3:10 to Yuma. It's more of a traditional western adventure. Think of it as Red River meets City Slickers. Jack Lemmon is great as the city slicker who earns his spurs on the trail. In fact, I think he did some of his best work in the fifties, before he got his name above the title. I'd like to see Twilight Time, or anyone really, release Fire Down Below with Lemmon, Robert Mitchum and Rita Hayworth, directed by Robert Parrish.

Anyway, Cowboy: recommended.

Amen! Jubal really is one of the ridiculously unsung titles that Criterion has produced! The fact that it's so cheap means everyone should be watching it

Sometimes I think the lower prices work against a film being seriously considered. People see the lower price and think "oh, it's a budget release." That's a shame really. There are some great films among the lower priced titles.

After this lot, I'm going to need an Autograph special. Immediately.

It's the lack of extras usually. "Letter Never Sent" and "Jubal", off the top of my head, are two absolutely awesome films that are at that lower price point. I think everyone involved with "Jubal" had passed and it was such a little known film for so long that there probably wasn't any archival interviews/footage to include. Many of those lower price releases are fantastic, as you said.

Looks like the scalpers are planning to stock up.

Anyone interested in The Remains of the Day for $25 shipped? Or The Fabulous Baker Boys? I'll also sell them both together for $45 shipped if someone is interested. Both are in like new condition.
