Arrow is releasing a 4k remaster of Alfredo Garcia in the UK, making the Twilight Time disc into a very second-tier option for locked customers only now. Just a warning for those shopping.

They have confirmed they have it. They are waiting on Fincher to approve the transfer.

I'll be interested and excited to see how Panic Room plays on blu. A good transfer could make all the distance. I loved it when it played in the theater, and went several times with different groups of friends, all of whom also loved it. But a few months later when it came out on DVD, I was working at a video store and everyone who rented it hated it—so much so that eventually I gave up on recommending it to customers.

I think it's a film that needs to envelope you, with complex sound design and dark (literally and figuratively) visuals that need to be experienced in as close to a theatrical environment as possible.

Thanks, I'm sure they'll slay it on the extras.

Will January titles be announced tomorrow? Seems like December's were announced ages ago.

Just found this on Home Theater Forum:

STANLEY AND IRIS (1990) BLU-RAY - Jan 17th

COMES A HORSEMAN (1978) BLU-RAY - Jan 17th

TWO FOR THE ROAD (1967) BLU-RAY - Jan 17th

THE MAD MAGICIAN 3D (1954) BLU-RAY - Jan 17th
Includes: Pardon My Backfire 3D (1953) and Spooks 3D (1953)

CHILLY SCENES OF WINTER (1979) BLU-RAY - Feb 14th

INTERIORS (1978) BLU-RAY - Feb 14th

KISS OF DEATH (1947) BLU-RAY - Feb 14th

EDGE OF ETERNITY (1959) BLU-RAY - Feb 14th

Only four titles a month is a little surprising, but there's some good ones there.

One of the weakest TT lineups, AFAIC. Kiss of Death is a good news, though.

Didn't recognize any of those other than Kiss of Death. Did a quick IMDB search for them and nothing looks like my thing. Happy to have a couple months off from TT releases.

Plus Mad Magician in 3-D! Two for the Road is a wonderful film, but I already have the MoC. I wasn't familiar with Edge of Eternity, but it's a Don Siegel movie, so it must be good.

Definitely down for Two For the Road and Kiss of Death. Edge of Tomorrow is a film I have never heard of, but it sounds like my cup of tea. So, two definites, one probable. About par for me.

Not surprised they've gone down to four releases a month. They must be sitting on a lot of inventory by now.

FWIW, Criterion also just announced a four-release month.

Agree. Two for the Road and Kiss of Death already have UK releases, the former for probably two years or so now. Granted it is good for the region locked crowd. The rest of those titles are what I would expect Kino to put out for $15.

Kiss of Death is a no-brainer purchase for me. And I'll echo both Noir Fan and belcherman... I've never heard of Edge of Eternity, but it sounds like it's up my alley, and being directed by Don Siegel certainly doesn't hurt!

I can't seem to find any info on whether The Mad Magician will be 3D only or if a standard version will be included as well.

Not so thrilled with the January line-up, just happy that "Three Worlds of Gulliver" and "Moby Dick" are on the way!

I recall some talk that the TT disc will be a new 4k restoration, but I couldn't find anything official.

I wonder if another studio is going to be announced to fill the 5th spot. Just a speculation not a rumor.

Definitely in for CHILLY SCENES OF WINTER (surprised more people aren't excited about this) and MAD MAGICIAN. I wonder if CSOW will include the original release cut as well as HEAD OVER HEELS.

I can't imagine that they'd release it 3D-only. Their previous 3D titles Harlock: Space Pirate and Miss Sadie Thompson -- had both 3D and 2D.
