It's one of the earlier titles that was priced at $34.95 before TT finally settled on the $29.95 price for future releases.

PP, I assume you're not region-free, hence the TT disc of The Fury?

Well that's about what, 30-40 more than my current TT collection (stands at two, The Blue Lagoon and Sinbad & The Eye of the Tiger).

I'd like to see a nice BD of THE SEVENTH SIGN (1988). Sony/Columbia won't release it themselves so I guess this means TT. Good atmospheric movie.

I tried to do a top 5 and couldn't lol There are too many I like but for different reasons. So instead I will mention titles I seem to go to regularly.

I'd list a title like The Disappearance because I like the era of films, and until it was announced I'd never heard of the movie. The Other because I liked it much more the second time around on BLU, and also the isolated score has some cues previously unreleased and not used in the film. The Driver because it was a wish list film. Bonjour Tristesse, it has a great transfer IMO. Picnic looks stunning! The Big Heat because there isn't enough film noir out there on blu.

Honorable mention because this could be a shocker, the title I have watched more than any other TT title is The Only Game in Town. I love the pace of the film and I think I've watched it 5 times now!

It doesn't mean I don't love other titles like Major Dundee or Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, Leave Her to Heaven etc they are all great I wouldn't give up a title yet.

Too lazy to take a picture right now, but I have all the released or pre-order blu-rays except for Mindwarp and Fever Pitch. Just counted and I have 66 on my shelf.

It isn't straightforward to pick a list of favorites because I would leave a few great films off the list because they have so-so transfers (Demetrius and the Gladiators, for example, although to be fair the original elements for these are not available and dupes were used to produce the best available transfer).

My top 12:

Rapture
Nicholas and Alexandra
The Blue Max
The Big Heat
Bell, Book, and Candle
Bye-Bye Birdie
As Good as it Gets
Love is a Many Splendored Thing
Mysterious Island
Bite the Bullet
Zulu
Bonjour Tristesse

Really hard to leave out Leave Her to Heaven and Oliver! from a top 12 list, and I could have easily substituted out a few titles for these and a couple of others. The Driver is excellent, so is Those Magnificent Men...... Really a lot of good films released by TT. Zulu is a top five favorite, but I hesitate to include it since I like the Paramount transfer also, for different reasons. Of course, there is also The Golden Voyage of Sinbad, Our Man Flint, Major Dundee, Drums Along the Mohawk, The Song of Bernadette, and Experiment in Terror. I also really enjoy High Time, which gets no discussion here at all. I could easily make a top 25 list.

Going to the lower end of my collection, I guess I would rank the bottom as follows (probably courting controversy here, but, hey, it's my opinion). I am not including PQ as a criterion, this is based on the film only ranked against the rest of the TT releases (and to some extent paying $30+ for them):

The Other (good film, but it is a watch once title for me, no replay value at all and I regret blind buying it for $30)
The Fury
Man in the Dark 3-D
Beloved Infidel
Titus
(again, more of a watch once film for me and not a good blind buy at TT prices)

I suppose it would be best to categorize the TT titles by genre etc. I really love the classic Hollywood romantic films to epics like The Blue Max so it is hard to lump them up with Christine and Fright Night.

I never knew what Love is a Many Splendored Thing was about, I wanted to like it more than I did. It is still a good film But I preferred Beloved Infidel. The Eddy Duchin Story was great melodrama as was The Wayaward Bus.

I felt EXACTLY the same way!
I thought i would LOVE LIAMST, and although it's a good film I ended loving Beloved Infidel much more!

Maybe I am being a bit harsh on Beloved Infidel placing it in my bottom five. It is a relative ranking against other TT releases, not an absolute. I like the film, just not as much as I like LIAMST, Picnic, Pal Joey, or Rains of Ranchipur, or some of the other genre films of the same period. There are a couple of other TT titles I am not exactly crazy about that I could have swapped with Beloved Infidel.

And I still have a few unwatched TT titles:

The Front
Alamo Bay
Royal Flash
The Way We Were
The Eddie Duchin Story

Going to watch The Eddie Duchin Story next from that group. I am a Kim Novak fan, and this is one I haven't seen yet.

Why not just import the region free UK release of Fever Pitch for $18 shippesd to the US?

Not too thrilled about that one. I will be skipping most of the Channel 4 (I think that is what they are called) films, at least for now. Despite what my collection suggests, I am not a completist, and could never be the day TT announced Mindwarp. With five releases a month from them now, there are bound to be others I will skip for lack of interest, or the movie just won't be worth $30-$35 (with shipping) to me. All in all, TT has had an amazing track record of releases that appeal to me.

Alfred Newman's classic score sounds amazing on The Song of Bernadette's Blu-ray. The transfer is so-so but the isolated soundtrack by itself is worth the price of admission.
