I'm thinking that the sale is only for titles that are slow sellers. If Major Dundee is low in stock, then I'm assuming they want to keep it at regular price to prevent scalpers from snapping it up at sale prices and flipping it.

I doubt they care about scalping but yes they know they can get full price. The super slow sellers need to move.

Owl, I had to change mine 2 weeks ago, when I had a preorder in for Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia. But by editing my existing payment option to the new card's information, the site automatically changed the payment option on that preorder to the new card's information as well. I was pleasantly surprised.

Speaking of the sale does anyone know how this is actually working? because of the price drops I would say it say any and all TT will be moving at a faster rate then normal tomorrow I wanted to Include Wild at Heart (1990) pre-order with a few of the sale titles Is it safe to say that the sale titles won't get soldout from under me once I place my order??

I don't think anything is "safe" when it comes to the monthly TT feeding frenzy.

Can anyone shed some light on Wild at Heart? I didn't know anything about it before it became a Twilight Time title.

Thanks for the kind comments regarding the op.

I just submitted a cover image for upload into the database entry for Mr. Hobbs Takes a Vacation. Once approved, it should appear in the op.

I would ask that someone who is familiar with the process please make a new entry in the database for Rita, Sue, and Bob Too. I have never created an entry here before and don't have time tonight to search how to do it. Thanks, mates!

I am going to speculate and say that non-discounted films like Leave Her to Heaven and other semi-poplar titles may sell out during this sale.

Films that are not sold out, but are most likely performing steadily.

On another topic: I watched Pal Joey for the first time and I did not find it to be one of the better Sinatra comedies; however it does hold some merit as a very good musical (quasi-musical) where he croons several nicely arranged and performed musical numbers.

TT stated that nobody makes non eco cases anymore? Oldboy remake was not in an eco case, nor saving mr. banks. While both are in the clamp side cases, why not those?

Also King's men is still showing as pre-order. Has anyone's shipped yet?

That's because Sony owns it and like you said they are the only people who use those cases (maybe they make them in house, I think the patent is pending) with the "clamp" on side of the case. I feel dumb now explaining my theory on the whole thing, but I'll leave it as I wrote it, here it is..

It appears that Sony still gets non-eco cases to this day for new releases. Well maybe they are somehow eco-friendly because they feel lighter and skinnier, but none of the plastic itself is cut out of the case. These cases seem to be exclusive to Sony as I've never seen any other company use them, and I'm talking about those cases that have that piece of plastic on the side of the case where the opening of the case is. It says "open" on it and you have to un-snap the little piece before you can totally open the case.

If you own "Captain Phillips", "American Hustle", "Evil Dead" remake, "Zero Dark Thirty" or many other Sony titles you know what I'm talking about. And to say well the reason the left part of the case isn't missing plastic deeming it eco-friendly is because there is a DVD there in it's place, well that isn't the case because Sony does not always include a DVD version with their new releases, the "Evil Dead" remake is a single disc.

I have them, I was just wondering if those cases/manufacturer would be viable to TT, sometimes people overlook an option.

Nope, those are Vortex cases and Sony has no connection to them. Universal still uses the non-eco Viva Elite cases.

Or, correct me if I'm wrong, it's TT's only 2-disc title and a lower price point would not be cost-effective.

My guess is that the titles on sale today are ones that haven't reached 1,500 left yet, or they have a feelling never would (or not for a very long time) without some kind of sale.

Also, I don't know if it's been discussed or not without going through all the posts here, but did anyone else notice Fever Pitch is listed on their website at a lower SRP of 24.95?
