It pays to chat up people at the bar...we met a chef yesterday at Happy Hour and he invited us to the restaurant he works at today for lunch. We no sooner sat at the bar when an appetizer arrived in front of our faces. We're basically perched on the same level as the neon Pike's Place "Public Market Center" sign. Lunch is a salmon sandwich with bacon, lettuce and a lemon aioli, a side salad with crumbled blue cheese and roasted sunflower seeds and he saw me eyeing the barbecue pulled pork at another table and hooked me up with a side of that with red cabbage slaw.

and i REALLY want one for my 1911. plus, the firearm holster has a built-in belt loop so you can take it off the shoulder harness and wear it on your belt.

I had one made for my Taurus PT99AF while at a Black Powder Event back in 1988.
Can't recall whatever happened to it

Last Night, I bought ( well placed on back order ) the Newest SSAR-15 MOD Slide Fire Stocks.
I had 1 original Slide Fire (OGR), and 1 of the newer SBS's,
I now have 2 SBS's since a few weeks ago I bought another SBS for the AR that had the original SSAR-15 on it.

I should of just bought 2 of the Newest SSAR-15 MOD's than instead of just upgrading my old original to a Newer SBS

So now when they do come in stock I'll have the Newest ( and maybe the last model) Slide Fire Stock
on my 2 Bushmaster AR's, with 2 SBS and 1 ORG serving as spare parts

and yes, having spare parts is always a good thing. i'm looking to order a pin set for the 1911. they're cheap insurance in case one breaks while training or during disassembly/reassembly. i also want to get a 1-piece mainspring housing and magwell. and that will give me an extra mainspring housing in case something happens to the aftermarket part.

Reviewing some TrueCar correspondence I just received. Looks like with a few sweet discounts a localish dealership is offering me a brand new 2018 Jeep Compass 4x4 Sport for <$18k. I may just have to take advantage of it. I know my fiancee would be happy, but I'm still interested in a new pick-up.


About to fix a couple grilled cheese sandwiches for the kid and probably toast a Reuben for myself. My ~1 hour nap turned into a ~4hour nap. Hopefully this doesn't impact the rest of my night / morning.
