Very good, nice and tropical and potent at 8%. That being said, my local Sweetwarer Goin' Coastal is in cans, comes in 6/12 packs (versus a 4-pack), tastes very similar and is less money despite being slightly less alcohol at 6.1%.

Well my car died today. Luckily I was home when it died. I was headed out to go watch It comes at night. AAA came out and said it was a bad alternator and battery. I know nothing about cars so I feel kind of dumb asking the guy all types of questions. He said I was looking about $300-500. He did say after the alternator gets fixed to call them back to switch out the battery since it's still under warranty with them. He said that would save me $125.

if you can change out the alternator yourself, it should be much cheaper than that.

i know you said you know nothing about cars, but learning to do some general maintenance can save you a bunch of money.

Some coffee and bill paying...yep, it's a typical Friday morning! Got a full day planned today as I still have a fallen tree in my parents' yard to cut up, a bookshelf to build for my daughter's bedroom (we couldn't find a store bought one that she liked so I told her I'd custom build her one), and some more sorting to do at the storage locker since I don't plan on renting that much longer.

That's what the AAA guy said. He said the alternator was probably $100 for my car and the rest would be labor. I would not trust myself even with general maintenance. I am one of those people they would take something apart and once I put it back together I would have 5-6 extra screws next to me.

find someone (friend, family member) who can do it, then have them talk you through it as you do the actual work. that's the way my dad taught me. he'd tell me what to do and i'd do the actual work. it's the best way to retain the skill. at least it was for me, anyway.


also, find a maintenance/repair manual for your specific make/model and start reading.

sorry for the confusion, lol. i just meant that i hadn't turned it on until that post. usually, i'll turn it on a bit after i get up, while i'm eating breakfast. but today, i didn't....don't know why.

and my mom used to do that, too. until i told her it'd last longer if she turned it off while she wasn't actively using it. and i mean she used to leave it on if she ran to the store or went outside for a while.
